Whoever was working front desk between 3-4:30pm on 12/28/24 should be fired. We arrived to our appointment on time at 3pm. This was our first time here so she gave us an explanation of everything and offered us a tonic shot. She then walked us back to our sauna and explained how everything works back there, let us know that once we change and get into the sauna, that we could start the timer which was set for 48mins. Her whole intro for this took about 10-15mins. Once we were done with our sauna time, my partner went into the shower first because of course I’m assuming that they wouldn’t want us showering together. Once he got out and I was about to go in, the front desk person tells me that I can’t shower because we took too long. Imagine sweating for almost an hour and being told that you can’t shower AT ALL before going home. Im not sure what imaginary timer we were on that we supposedly went over. She did not communicate with us at all that we had to be done with the shower and beach time at a certain time. The only time constriction that was communicated to us was the sauna timer. When we went up to the counter to pay, I expressed that my experience had been ruined because she didn’t let me shower and she said “I’m sorry but you two took too long” blaming us for her lack of communication. I let her know it would’ve been helpful to have told us that we were running short on time if that was the case. It’s our first time here so how are we supposed to know that we had to be all the way done with everything by a certain time.. and to cause your customer not shower instead of giving them a heads up is not acceptable. It’s a spa, no one is trying to be rushed when they are supposed to be relaxing. If you would like your customer to be out the door by a certain time, TELL THEM THAT. We also didn’t even get time to hangout at the beach because we “took too long” on this imaginary time limit that was not shared with us. She then tried to blame us again and say that we arrived late. I checked the time when we had gotten there and we were exactly on time at 3pm so the fact that she tried to lie and blame us even more was baffling. If they had wanted us to arrive 15-10min early to give time for the intro and explanation of everything, then they should let their customers know at the time of booking. How are we supposed to know that it will take that long to get started? Overall this person was not communicative, dismissive, and passive aggressive. Everything that Seattle racism is known for. We tried this place out because it’s black owned and want to support minority owned businesses, but the way that they train their staff and run things needs restructuring if they even care about making their minority crowds feel welcomed. I can’t remember the last time I was treated like this in Seattle, like we aren’t welcomed and don’t belong. If their goal was to not have us come back, then they succeeded. I was having a perfectly fine day and left this placed in a terrible mood. And don’t try reaching out offering me a discount for my next visit to make it right because I’m...
Read moreWas very excited to go in and try it out! However the lady wasn’t wearing a mask when I came in and didn’t take my temperature with the radar gun.. so that threw me off a bit and was a bit concerning. A friend gave me a 15 dollar off coupon so I thought I’d try it, ended up doing the infrared wrap and it wasn’t a pleasant experience, I came home with burns all over my body and it’s been aching for almost a week now. The temperature was set wayyy too high and I insisted them to turn it down but the young girl who was supposed to be helping me at the time told me that’s how it feels. So I stuck with it, she told me it would be about 30 minutes but it ended up being 50.. I was dying by the time I got out and very lightheaded almost fainted. Since then I’ve been stuck at home with these skin burns and I would NOT recommend anyone go to these so called therapy “professionals”. Wasted my 55 dollars and came out hurting more than when I went in. They’ll never be seeing me or anyone I...
Read moreI usually stop after I go scuba diving at Alki Beach to warm up and recover. You can park in the garage or on the street. It’s easy to find and very accessible. It’s located close to shops and restaurant as well. As you’re greeted by the pleasant staff, you’re already starting to feel relaxed. The rooms are all private and the atmosphere is very quiet and welcoming. You can also reserve a luxury room and relax in a larger room for multiple people. Showers are available outside of the therapy rooms and it’s a mineralized shower! Excellent shampoo and conditioner available with face wipes too! Afterwards, there is a room with white beach sand where you can lounge in candle light with herbal tea. If you need a little ocean vibe in quietness, this place is it. You feel refreshed and recovered from daily fatigue. I definitely recommend this place. Just give it a...
