Stay away if you value your health and safety.|The place was a great disappointment. It came recommended, by my step daughter, I don’t know what she is accustomed to, but this place is a dump. It started off ok, the owner, as he said carried our luggage up to the second floor. That’s was the only good thing that happened there.||1. Let’s start with the door, half the gasket on the bottom was missing allowing daylight and any critter that wanted to come in, in. When I complained I got nowhere fortunately the night person was able to give me tape, to tape it up so the local vermin didn’t join us. ||2. Some genius used Formica type product on the shower surround, that stuff isn’t waterproof for a shower environment, I have terrible mold allergies, I can only imagine what they were hiding , because both my husband and I got terribly sick. You could see the material warping more each day from the moisture.||3. On our first morning there my husband made a cup of coffee, five days later the dirty mug was still there, along with the bag of garbage they forgot to take with them and left on the bathroom counter.||4. The refrigerator freezer didn’t work melting the ice cream. They couldn’t even bother to level the fridge.||5. Best of all missing co2 detector.||6. Oh not to mention there was no place to put your clothes so you had to live out of suitcases. And only one night stand. They advertise a queen bed…a double a best!||Let’s not even discuss the breakfast.||I do believe we are owed a refund. If not these will be reported to the health and building departments...

I rented here many times and no issues, then I was charged and my payment was processed and went through on my credit card. They try to say I didn't pay them which I did and email them proof off my credit card statement but that wasn't good enough so they keep charging my credit card to the point my credit card company canceled my card and issued me another card because thought there was fraudulent activity going on. They have me on the do not rent list for no reason since I didn't do anything wrong and paid for my room and I am not paying twice like they want me to. Then this hotel issued me a refund and then canceled the refund the same day of the amount of my room and can't issue a refund unless you receive the money which they did and the manager just wanted me to pay again for a room I already paid for and showed the proof from my credit card statement. I wanted to pre-warn others they may try to get you to pay twice and continue to charge your card and then put you on the do not rent list for no reason and I was the one that reached out to try to solve the problem but the manager was rude and would hang up on me and didn't want to solve the problem just said I didn't pay and to said he keep charging me again for the room I paid for already. The customer is ridiculous not good and even my credit card company said not go back because I keep going back and forth with the manager and my credit card company. Don't Stay Here, they may try to charge...

This is an older, two-story motel style property that was remodeled a few years ago and has a certain charm. The property is well maintained and cared for. Very friendly and professional front desk staff (a very pleasant young woman) that after a long day of negotiating airports and travel was a welcome relief to encounter upon check-in, as was the older woman who checked me out. I encountered a very friendly and helpful housekeeper in the hallway upon my departure who even offered to assist me with luggage down the stairs as there is no elevator (I am a senior person and stairs are a bit challenging for me). I was very impressed by the cleanliness of my room (222), the bed and bath linens in particular, but also the hardwood floor, refrigerator and Keurig coffee maker. Well done! I think this is the smallest room in the Inn ((a single queen bed)) that had older fixtures in the quite small bathroom, but all were very clean and functioned well, and met all of my needs very well. There was a very comfortable sitting chair and the expandable work desk and chair were just fine (though the desk was a tad worn 'round the edges). There are restaurants / markets nearby and within walking distance. There are two smallish parking lots, but also adjacent street parking. If you have business or vacation plans in or near West Seattle, this is a great location that is hundreds of dollars less than the mega properties in downtown. I would stay...

Apparently, there aren't any hotels in West Seattle, except for this one. I was a little hesitant at first, especially since it was my first time visiting, but I'm glad I made the decision to stay at The Grove. Upon arrival, after 2 hours of being checked I'm, I noticed my a/c wasn't working. I went down and Christian was able to move me into another room with a new A/C. He was very professional and accommadating. I'm from Texas, so we rely on our Air Conditioning. The new room was great. The carpeted rooms could definitely use some new carpet, however, the room was very clean and comfortable. This is a very old motel, but it has been pretty well maintained. The housekeeping employees were very friendly and made sure that you got what you needed. They had a nice continental breakfast included. I would definitely recommend this place to others, and would stay again myself. If you're boogie though, this place might not be for you. I didn't bring my pet, but I appreciate that it's pet friendly. West Seattle takes you out of the hustle and bustle that is downtown Seattle. There are a ton of restaurants, stores, and shops within walking distance, and I'd say it's a safe area to be in. Thanks for the great service! Jeff

What a hidden gem! I overnight in the city occasionally to avoid a horrific commute and absolutely loved my stay here. The customer service at the front desk was excellent and someone was actually available 24/7. The room was super clean and seemed to be renovated fairly recently. Everything worked great, especially the AC which was clutch with the recent summer temps. I also found the parking (included for free) to be very convenient and secure. Awesome stay overall and I highly recommend if you’re checking out West Seattle or want to stay someplace less crazy than than downtown but within easy striking distance.

I was genuinely so impressed by this inn. It may only be a 2-star hotel, but it was perfect for a 3-day stay. The rooms are well maintained and clean, and every employee I spoke with was very kind and friendly. The best part was probably the free breakfast though, they had several options (bagels, pastries, hard-boiled eggs, yogurt, cereal, oatmeal, plus coffee, orange juice, milk). The employee keeping the breakfast stocked and clean was such a gem also. She made every morning better.
