I discovered Aubra's Metamorphosis Spa completely by chance. I was walking past Zeke's Pizza on California Avenue in West Seattle when a sandwich board on the sidewalk caught my attention, almost as if it was calling my name. That serendipitous moment led me to my first myofascial release session with Aubra—and it has genuinely changed my life.
At 60 years old, I had resigned myself to living with chronic pain for the rest of my life. My body had been through so much: several concussions, accidentally drinking paint thinner as an 18-month-old infant, family trauma, and other difficult experiences. All of this had left my fascia incredibly tight and locked up. You know what they say, "the body keeps the score". I was certainly losing the game. Badly.
From my very first session, Aubra took the time to explain when the fascia is tight it impacts the crucial communication network within our bodies that sends signals to different areas. When fascia is tight, energy struggles to move freely. She helped me understand how this directly related to my chronic pain.
Over the course of my visits, something remarkable has happened. My body pain has dramatically improved. I feel more alive, almost as if my body is repairing itself without much effort from me, now that my fascia can move freely. The energy that was once blocked now flows, and I feel so much better for it.
Aubra's methodology and techniques are exceptional. She has a deep understanding of myofascial release and can address any stuck areas in your body to get you moving again. Her approach is thorough yet gentle, and she truly knows what she's doing. Beyond myofascial release, she offers various other treatments at her spa as well.
If you're struggling with body pain and looking for relief outside of medication—relief that could be more permanent—Aubra can help you get there. I say this with confidence: if I could find relief with all my issues, I know she can help almost anyone. I was pretty broken when I first walked into Metamorphosis Spa, but now I feel far more alive than I have in decades.
Perhaps more than anything, Aubra has given me hope—hope that I can live pain-free, hope that pain doesn't have to define who I am. She's helped me understand and make sense of my pain so that it's no longer controlling my life.
We've become good friends through this journey, and I can attest that Aubra is not just skilled at what she does, but she's also an incredible human being with a genuine desire to help others. I'm immensely grateful to have found her and the Metamorphosis Spa.
For anyone in West Seattle seeking relief from chronic pain, I highly recommend Aubra and...
Read moreFirst of all, Aubra gives GREAT massages and facials. She really gets in there and breaks up sticky spots and the facials include a lovely neck and head massage and good good products. As talented as she is when massaging, she really lacks an awareness of time and her self management could be better. She often (like upwards of 10 times in an hour massage) needs to excuse herself to go to the bathroom, take care of things, and it seems like there’s always some tech issue or something she’s trying to address while in the middle of the massage. When I’ve booked hour long massages she will spend 45 minutes on one per of my body and then hurry through the rest telling me I need to book a longer massage if I want more covered, but this also happened when I got a 90 minute massage…I’ve had some funny experiences with her telling me she’ll call me at a certain time and then not hearing from her and then suddenly getting multiple calls from her from 9-10pm. Additionally, the comments she makes about her mask wearing preferences leave me a bit on edge, as does how close she gets to my sensitive private bits sometimes. There is also an interesting dynamic where Aubra wants to help you with all of your health problems in ways that have worked for her rather than under the guidance of your healthcare professional.
Her facility is lovely and nice and it’s a difficult time for all of us, especially small business owners so I encourage you to give her a try! It’s great how she can fit you in on short notice, but ultimately after 2 massages and a facial I’ve decided to take my business elsewhere in search of a more relaxing experience that feels a bit...

Aubra is the BEST and anyone who has worked with her will attest to this. I was living with severe pain resulting from a trauma beginning in 2007. I have spent more than $20,000 in seeking help over those 10 years with acupuncture, steroid shots, Osteopathic manipulation, Cranial Sacral, Feldenkrais, Rolfing, Acupuncture, Chinese herbs, physical therapy, etc, etc. I have traveled as far as Atlanta Georgia and Vancouver B.C. to work with innovative and 'top' people in pain relief. It was devastating my life.
Nothing has worked for more than a day or two until I met Aubra last year. She has worked miracles, and after several series of appointments I can say that my pain is down by 80%. And the environment she provides is clean, professional and relaxing. It smells of the wonderful essential oils she uses in her healing.
I still have a little ways to go in my healing and would be happy to talk to anyone about my own journey, which is too long to post here, if you are considering working with Aubra. You can ask her for my contact...
