DIFFERENT PEOpLE SAME COMPLAINTS!!, COST, SERVZiCE ,AND THE ABSENCE OF ATTENTiON TO DETAIL!!! Wow! Prices here are literally double ,the checkout stands seem to go fairly fast but I have to tell you I have taken more meat back from that store than anywhere else in West Seattle !several times I have gotten home and was ready to cook dinner and the meat was rotten now I poke a hole in it and smell it before I buy it that's just what I have to do there yikes, I used to really like this store until they decided to use the pandemic as an excuse to raise prices to a ridiculous level. Price gouging is not a good way to keep your loyal customers coming back. I have seen less and less
You’ll find most anything you need. Expect every item to be from $2 - $4 MORE than the same item anywhere else in W Seattle (that includes Whole Foods and PCC). I understand they’re a smaller chain and likely get higher prices from the same vendors (the reason a clerk gave me a couple years ago). So if you’re ok with paying that much more on EVERY item then go for it.
Guy in the deli doesn’t wear gloves when serving/packaging food. Deli manager says it’s ok because “he generally washes his hands every 10 minutes.” What a joke, how gross and apathetic. Cleanliness and sanitation rules exist for a reason. Won’t be bac
I'm not sure how you can have the word "Thriftway" in your name and be so much more expensive than any other store. As others have stated, this place IS...
Read moreI have been patronizing this Thrifty store for over 20 years. Last night, 8/8/25, I went to the deli and ordered some chicken. I then proceeded to the cash register, at the deli, to pay for the chicken. Something I have done numerous times over the years. There were four people working with one employee assisting a customer and the other three doing deli work. There were no other customers waiting to be helped. One of the men workers, I assume he may have been the deli manager, looked at me and said no one could help me and abruptly turned and walked away, refusing further communication. He was rude in his dismissal of me. I have always appreciated the customer service at Thrifty and that is why I felt dissed and found his behavior to be rude and question his actions. Would he have treated me that way if I were male or a young woman as opposed to a 70 year old woman? I don't know the answer to that but his attitude was insulting and makes me question my patronage. Such a disappointment after all these years.

Read moreI love this grocery store! I would give it 4.5 stars because some items can be really expensive, but that minor detraction isn't worth it losing whole star. I would imagine the additional expense is what is to be expected considering it is the only grocery store in Morgan Junction. Also, they carry several items (like 12-pacs of La Croix waters, nit just 8-packs) that most other grocery stores don't carry. They also have an excellent selection of conventionally-grown as well as a good selection of organic produce. I still prefer Trader Joe's for many organics but Thriftway has many more LOCAL organics!! Their customer service is absolutely great and every cashier I have encountered has been very friendly and helpful. I have never had to wait long in line either (like no more an a couple minutes!) because they stay on top of their check-out load. If lines get long they call for more cashiers and/or the Customer Service attendant checks people out too. Overall a great grocery store and I'm thankful they...
