tl;dr--you should go there now.
Beveridge Place is hands down my favorite beer bar in the city. No liquor and a very limited selection of other consumables (though they include a fine sampling of cider, mead, and barleywine).
So why? Unbelievable and constantly rotating array of the finest beers. Mostly regional with awesome exceptions. (Example: a very rare US offering of Samuel Smith's Oatmeal Stout on draught. That keg went quick!) IPApril, Hoptober, etc... all celebrated with some bar wide featuring of amazing beers. Casks across the bar sometimes, annual March Madness tournament to determine the house IPA, brewer takeovers. Micro Monday specials.
No kitchen, light snacks, but very friendly to outside food. Especially Zeke's Pizza only a few yards down the block.
Dog friendly. To a high degree subject to very reasonable rules. I imagine the lack of full service kitchen allows more flexibility in this.
Finally? Super cool staff with a great owner. The whole vibe is congenial and friendly. Comfortable seating, games, books. Feels like home every...

I tend to let out my inner cheapskate on Mondays with their all day happy hour, when several beers are significantly discounted. Other special events include free pool table use Tuesdays, and trivia night on Wednesdays (quite competitive I'm told).
So I offer you a hearty welcome to my 2nd...

Me and my girlfriend got 4 different IPA'S and a Manny's pale ale that all managed to taste the same of acidic bacteria infection (it's never hazardous to health, only unpleasant) or cross contamination from one of their many Belgian style ales. I brew at home and have an 8 keg capacity tap system, so I know a bit about this subject.
The lack of information for each beer on the menu is slightly annoying and could be remedied if the bartenders would simply learn more about the only service provided at this establishment. The information I was given was incorrect on multiple occasions.
Have your phone handy if you have questions and cross your fingers the lines have...
