Dan did an amazing job dealing with our squirrel problem. We had been hearing a squirrel for 18 months and had already used a pest control company (useless) and paid a lot of money to have the insulation in the attic redone and holes sealed. The squirrel not only remained but chewed large holes in the dry wall (see photo with our cat looking in). Dan checked the entire perimeter of the roof, found multiple holes, and within a few hours had caught the troublemaker! Turned out our female squirrel was nursing and there was an entire nest! He released the mother but removed a lot of the nest material from our attic. Once we stopped hearing her and her young a week later, Dan came back, verified she was gone and sealed everything up. That was over 8 months ago and no more squirrel problem! Dan also did some basic repairs to the massive chew holes in the dry wall. Wish we’d used Dan from the beginning!

I am sharing a second review for Dan because I am so grateful for his work. He did trenching and screening around my crawl space. Last week a raccoon clearly made a big effort trying to enter, but gave up because Dan’s work was so effective. (A previous company did trenching and screening for me. They literally did it inside out and backwards, so afterwards raccoons were able to successfully dig entry holes 4 different times.) I highly, highly recommend Dan and his work. He’s ethical, intentional, friendly, customer-service oriented, and now I have proof in the pudding that his work clearly is effective. Thank you, Dan! (Photo shows the screen blocking the raccoon’s entry.)

Thank you Dan and Alex for safely removing our squirrel friends from inside our roof before they moved into our walls! I really appreciated Dan's clear communication about exactly what he would be doing and the steps involved (placing traps, installing a one-way door, then covering the hole after assuring the squirrel had gotten out and no babies were left behind, etc). They were quick and efficient, and while we miss the little pals scratching along to our keyboard typing in the office, we know they are safer elsewhere!

I recommend Wildlife Advocates with enthusiasm. Mr. Sodomka provided an excellent remedy to a vexing and longstanding problem of generations of squirrel families having developed the inside of one of our porch columns into a condo and birthing center. We like our squirrels, but it appeared that they were beginning a campaign to make the move to the interior of the house. We did not want roommates. Mr. Sodomka examined and documented the nest area as well as other potential entry points around the roof, foundation and eaves. He installed a cage device in the nesting area that would allow any immature squirrels nested there the opportunity to develop. He reinforced several potential entry points. He then returned several weeks later (after the young squirrels had matured) to install a one-way door so that any late developers could get out. Finally, he fastened the door creating an exclusionary cage. He clearly explained the methodology of gradually excluding the squirrels without harming them. He was pleasant, knowlegable of the ways of the squirrel, professional, communicative, effective and above all humane. The company name, Wildlife Advocates, is perfectly descriptive of the approach of this gentleman and...

I have a great fondness for squirrels and truly love coexisting with them. They had been happily nesting in an alcove just above our porch for about 20 years and we always looked forward to meeting the new offspring each year. But when they started chewing our house recently, we knew we had to act. Trying to find a company that has a completely humane approach devoid of bait and traps and relocation was a challenge until we came across Wildlife Advocates.

Dan, the owner, was absolutely the perfect person for the job and his elegant solution couldn’t have been better. He clearly loves his job as well as the critters involved, and he was a delight to work with. Our squirrel family has now resettled somewhere nearby and still visit regularly. We couldn’t have been more pleased and HIGHLY recommend Wildlife Advocates. Dan...
