First time trying the new Golden Gardens spot, and we were so happy with what we found. Great, real big subs that fondly reminded us of the East Coast. There are also bowls and salads available, and ingredients are mostly local. Service was great, friendly, and efficient. Glad to find out it’s owned by two Ballard locals. Perfect beach food, go check it out.

Great spot for coffee and snacks, perfectly located for the beach! The sandwiches are made fresh and worth trying, the Crown Hill and the Greenwood in particular. Opening hours are reasonable, easy walking distance from the car park and toilets, and open through summer and winter. Alternative milks available for coffees.

Love this spot!!!!! New owners and it's done right 👍🏻👍🏻😍😍 yummy (gigantic) sandwiches, bowl/salads (with vegetarian options), great coffee, and then a big array of ice cream bars for the kids (but really for us too). We will certainly be regulars. Update: amazing milkshakes from the milkshake truck 🍨🥰

This little spot on the beach is fantastic, affordable and convenient. We stopped in here on a tidepools/beach adventure day and got lunch. The sandwiches were so good- I’m not sure what bread they use but it is phenomenal. I really enjoyed the salt & vinegar chips on my turkey sandwich, it was a taste experience I didn’t know I needed and now it’s a staple for me! They had a great drink selection and we really enjoyed the lemonade. They even have pouches and kids drinks! They have a large selection of ice cream bars & popsicles to cool off on a hot day. Also, they actually do sell kites! Just a great little spot and we’re so glad we...

Incredible food. Even better humans behind it. Their thoughtfully selected menu has something for everyone, and as a parent, I am so grateful for kid friendly, convenient and reasonably priced options right at the beach (that my kiddos absolutely inhaled). I’ll be back for the Shilshole and coffee REGULARLY and my kids can’t wait to sample every other item (popsicles, pouches!, snacks, lemonade, etc.). They are already asking for when we can go back for the grilled cheese. So glad to have this gem of a small business to give my family even more of a reason to head to the beach and enjoy our...

Great food, albeit a little pricey.

The biggest gripe is the ordering process. Let me preface this by saying that I understand places get busy and delays are expected; the thing is the whole time I got zero feedback HOW LONG it was going to be. I don't care if the kitchen is backed up. Just be honest and just say "come back in 30-40 minutes" for a sandwich. Don't just keep saying "it'll be a couple more...
