Cool smaller interurban dog oasis to get their energy out in the Ballard neighborhood. Fun obstacle course equipment such as a metal ramp, vertical poles to weave in and out, some level bars to hop over, step platforms to run up and down, and some hoops to jump through if you want to practice agility and performance training with your pup. A nice hill and expanse to run around and some wooden benches to sit and get a clear view of yours and other dog's activities. Also a water spicket to fill for dog thirst and usually dog poop bags on site as well. The area can get very full on the weekends and not every dog owner is educated in how to watch for signs of building aggression (in their dog or others) or when to encourage their pups to keep it moving, so anyone who comes with their pup should be prepared to be an active and directional presence with new dogs or large packs running together in case one of the bunch on a given day gets surly...

Golden Gardens Off Lease Area is a truly amazing and unique place. The location within a forest creates a serene and peaceful atmosphere, which is perfect for those seeking to escape the hustle and bustle of the city. The cleanliness of the area adds to the overall good vibe and makes it a great place to spend a day with friends and family. The size of the area is impressive, offering plenty of space for visitors to spread out and enjoy the beautiful surroundings. The abundance of sand makes it an ideal spot for those looking for a place to sunbathe or play beach games. The dog-friendly atmosphere is a huge plus, and it is evident that dogs love it there as they run around and play in the sand. I would highly recommend visiting Golden Gardens Off Lease Area to anyone looking for a fun, clean and peaceful place to spend a day. Whether you are looking for a place to relax, play with your dog or just enjoy nature, this...

Great park, one of the best in the Seattle area. I Love this park!!! Would have given this park five stars but during the Covid-19 outbreak they opened the park but kept all the parking lots closed. So everyone parked on the street and then some porky the pig / goof troop / no fun having cop put tickets on everyone's car. Get a real job SPD! I could have understand if all 30 plus cars some how were blocking the road and causing a safety issue. That wasn't the case. So I'm posting this just to give everybody a heads up, the police are going around and acting like fools while breaking and entering is at a new high in the Seattle area. Good luck and this park is amazing and resplendent!...

I went to visit the tidepools for a college class assignment. There were 0 sea stars and SO many dogs in the tidepool area; it was a suprising observation for sure. Make sure you do not, under any circumstances, turn over a tidepool rock lest the Seattle Aquarium guides catch you and make you feel like the worst human being ever on planet earth. I used to love coming to this beach to have bonfires & picnics but that has been banned during the pandemic. Loved the little freshwater wetlands with turtles on logs and baby ducks learning to fish.... to end on a positive note.

This dog park was nice, with lots of rooms for dogs to run around. It was raining during our visit, so it was pretty muddy. The tree cover actually did help with not getting rained on as much. There appeared to be a few dog walkers visiting with their pups. We saw a van when we pulled into the parking lot with a message saying there were no valuables inside and the doors were unlocked. This did give the impression that there might be an issue with break-ins here, but we didn't have any trouble.
