Seems once you buy a vehicle from these people Customer service goes out the window. Its been over three weeks and I am still waiting on my vehicle plates I was told were going to be sent to me. I received at call from a person called Lynn who left a message that my license plates were ready for pickup or if I wanted they would mail them to me so since I don't live in Seguin I wanted them mailed. I tried several times calling back to contact this person Lynn but no one seems to answer phones, after several attempts I finally got someone to answer the phone and this individual took down my information and verified my address and was told the plates would be mailed to me. After a week of waiting still no plates and then I get another phone call from Lynn leaving another message that my plates were ready for pick up. So again i made several attempts to call and again no answer, so I called Dustin Bender the person that sold me the truck and was told it would be taken care of and my plates would be mailed to me, another week goes by and still no plates again I make an attempt to call the Dealership and low and behold I somehow find Lynn and i asked why my plates haven't been mailed and her answer was "Well I didnt get a message from you" How am I supposed to leave a message if the phone rings non-stop. All of a sudden she finds my plates in her desk drawer and says she will mail them out, well that was last Wednesday and its Tuesday of the week after and guess what still no plates. I don't know what this person Lynn does there but I do know what she DOESN'T do there is being able to find a mailbox or a Fedex envelope to mail me my plates Not so difficult right ! I even called Dustin Bender back and asked for a General Managers phone number so that maybe they can tell me why I haven't received my plates I am still waiting for that phone call. They didn't hesitate to Fedex me the final paper work for me to sign to take possession of my truck when it was already parked in my driveway. Not to mention they delivered my truck with an empty Def Fuel tank and had some poor employee at my house at 9pm delivering Def fuel and pouring it in my truck when he could have been home with his family. I guess the upside I like my truck.
Once I wrote this review i received calls from Justin and Cory and was given an apology for my inconvenience and my plates were delivered by mail to me within days. Thank You for caring enough to call me back and taking care of...
Read moreAppt July 18 2024, had vehicle towed in that day early about 8a tow truck driver put in back lot. RO states it was opened on the 18th #556010024/1. Notified by voicemail ready Sept 12@346. Communication is lacking, service was notified of owner's phone number to use for contact ie. P2P, text, email as well as permission as a last resort the # on record from 5yrs ago because it is parents home# and used as emergency contact, That number is not monitored daily hence it's an emergency #. Apparently there was some communication between my stepmother and service center, this therefore caused permission given for some repairs that I as owner wasn't ok with and instead of the dealership getting a vehicle purchase you got $9724 for repairs, basically rebuilding a vehicle that is 20yrs old. So bravo to you. The service person I will not name, should have thanked my parent or person who called that isn't the owner but refused to order the parts until he/she got approval from owner personally especially since I gave a list of what I'd approve of after receiving email of findings which would've enabled me to have the vehicle long enough to aquire the funds and purchase vehicle to replace my current one. I will say the personal in the service dept are in person friendly, accommodating and notified me of a service , dropping off customer, that I didn't know they did anymore. However they need to treat people calling who are not the owner of said vehicle as if they are checking in but can't make decisions as far as work being/needing to be done. Tell them that they can't override an owner's decision unless verified personally by owner. I responded to the email with what I could afford to fix as well as text. This should be in your personel hand book and in training, if you do any, as a standard operation/policy. Your going to have issues regarding repairs an owner didn't approve. This has caused some issues between stepparent that didn't have to happen if the service dept would act like a hospital having to abide by HIPPA laws or even a corporate HR who can't give answer other than a person works there and notify worker they need approval. Do better, the last crew before sale...
Read moreHonestly at this point, I would give this dealership zero stars if I could. Which is relatively disheartening considering all the people that recommended we shop there....Bought a 2012 Tahoe from them that was supposed to have been serviced before it was sold, drove it a week and the truck became unusable. After contacting Yaklin they refused to service the vehicle I bought from them, with warranty. So after taking it to a Chevy dealer to attempt to have it diagnosed and try to make a warranty claim, were handed a mile long list of problems with the vehicle...that were supposedly serviced prior to selling the vehicle to us. Here I sit 5 months later, with a vehicle that has spent far more time in the shop, than outside of it. A vehicle that had literal shattered spark plugs and runs on a grand total of 4 of 8 cylinders.....After countless attempts to speak with someone about this, our constant answer we get is "oh we will look into all of this and call you back" this has been their reply a total of 13 times. Today we get a call that in short, they are not willing to do anything to rectify the vehicle that was sold to us. Funny, they could've had a life long customer by just taking care of the customer and not acting like a shade tree establishment. Now, I will personally ensure that no one I know personally, purchases a vehicle from this place.
Paperwork has been filed with the Attorney General and legal avenues researched. So to keep this relatively short, If you are reading this...buyer beware....DO NOT purchase a used vehicle from Yaklin unless you are prepared to bring someone along with you to certify the vehicle is even worth purchasing (which normally I would my self but was not in the position to do so at the time of purchase.) It is a crying shame when a business won't even consider making an effort to keep a customer loyal. Honestly, even with someone to look over the vehicle after this experience, I personally will not shop there...
