We received a flyer in the mail for a bacon steakhouse double burger with the french-fried onions on top.....get it free online order only with a drink and fries.... We tried for 30 minutes to get it on our phone apps both of us but all we kept getting was error messages.... so I called one of the locations and asked if we could just use the coupon if we come in or they could just help us on the phone the lady said that it has to be an online order or they can't accept it at the store so we went to a different Whataburger where the girl was so wonderful at this one and she gave us the discount after we tried so hard to get it on the app.......so mainly the stars are for her and the onion rings.......mine were super fresh that has never happened at Whataburger for me I was very excited that they refresh..... but we were super disappointed in the burger it looked nothing like the picture it was very flat and nothing was crispy as far as the onions went and it was soggy due to the sauce......the flavor was good but the burger as a whole let us down... luckily one of us got it free with the coupon. My first photo is of the advertised burger from the online photo of the advertised burger and my other two photos are what we actually got....the burger was so squished down before i opened it and took a bite LOL...... I ordered a Whatachick'n Bites Meal off the menu board, but when I paid the price didn't seem right so I asked the manager who was standing there. Sure enough, the price shown was $8.69 but I was charged $9.79. I questioned this, and the manager said it was probably an old price on the printed menu board. I again questioned because it didn't match what I was charged, and she said she couldn't do anything - it was up to corporate. And if I didn't like that, she didn't really care then walked away. Operating partner, Bryan Hernandez I am now asking you. If your manager really can't make decisions, and keep a customer happy over a dollar difference, you might want to rethink your policies. It made me wonder how many other people didn't pay attention to what they paid and have been overcharged. I'm not even sure this is legal - at least it shouldn't be.
The chicken was cold, and because the "bites" were all different sizes, some were overcooked and some were undercooked. The Texas toast was dry and had no flavor, as did the gravy which was as thin as water, and not worth the calories. The fries had a really weird aftertaste so I was afraid to eat them. Does this look like a $10 meal to you?
Whataburger used to be a great Texas classic that you could always depend on. I am not sure of they sold to someone else, but with this level of customer service and quality of food, you have lost...
Read moreThe worst What A Burger in TEXAS!!! I was traveling with my family and on a schedule. We decided to squeeze in a quick stop to What A Burger to pick up a few milkshakes. After waiting 6 mins in the drive thru to order we finally order 3 milkshakes and a Cinnamon Roll (simple order). After placing our order we were in a slowly moving line for almost 15 mins (we were really off schedule) at this point I got out of the drive through lane and decided to go inside (after all we only had milkshakes and a roll) I get to the counter and the manager (instead of helping me) looked at me and decided to help the delivery guy. The delivery guy (bless his heart) moved to the side and said, "I can wait help your customer". The Manager unapologetically says, "yes?" ignoring his tone I went on to explain that I had already placed an order through the drive thru and just decided to come in due to my schedule. I told him I had 3 milkshakes and a roll. He walked away for about 5 mins and came back (again without apology) and said "I forgot to turn the machine on it will be 15 mins" and he turned away to continue the conversation with the delivery guy. I was LIVID!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I couldn't say ANYTHING I walked out wanting to SCREAM!! we waited almost a half hour for nothing!
