Diamond (from reading others posts i think that's her) did my nails sunday 2/9. On Monday I had like 2 chips/cracks. By Tuesday multiple nails were broken not completely off, but almost 🤦♀️. My almost 8yr old also got her nails done. Gel polish. One whole hand wasn't shiny because she forgot a topcoat or something on them. My daughter noticed but the lady was so rough and unfriendly she was scared to tell her.
I went back Tuesday to see if they would fix it. I live 20min away, and had appts so I was in town. I called, and the man answered and said at 230 he cld fix them. I said well sir I appreciate you fixing them, but there is nobody here right now, I'm in the parking lot. Or from here it looks empty. Can someone do them now? He says no everyone has an appointment. I go inside the building it is COMPLETELY EMPTY!!!!! Except for the 2 employees that were there just chilling in the pedicure massage chairs. Drinking their iced coffee. The young girl who had done my nails sunday(the one who should want to make it right) asked what I needed. I told her why I was there and she said yes He will see you at your 230 appointment. I said well mam I only made an appt because he said you all were busy with appts etc. It's empty in here, is there anyway you could fix my nails now? She absolutely REFUSED. Then I asked if we could call the owner and ask him again/together. She said i must wait til 230. I went out to my car and got my phone and went back inside and called him on speaker. This was maybe 20 or 30 min after the 1st call. They both preceded to tell me No she couldn't fix them because she had an appt. Mind you I had now been either outside or inside the building for at least 40min at this point. Long enough my nails could have been fixed. He then said nobody is there that can do dip nails, and I asked him if he knew the woman who did my nails on Sunday wasn't capable of doing dip??! Lol 🤦♀️🤦♀️ He of course got angry, but I continued. He said well she is capable of doing dip she has 16 years of experience. I said "Oh, okay well why can't she fix my nails then real quick before her appointment/client gets here? He said because you didn't like the way she did your nails. I said no sir that's not at all what I said. I just want them to be fixed, and not broken off/chipped every where I understand products get old or sometimes doesn't sick the way it should etc etc. (Obviously if I was questioning her capability I wouldn't have let her try again)
He then said, "well what do you want me to do mam throw my kids out of the car right here where I'm driving!!???"
I SAID "uhhhh no sir." HE then was just very rude.I asked for a refund but he refused. He said they don't do refunds, but of course after dealing with all that I don't want them to do my nails now anyway. How awkward. What horrible business.
Also both times I have gotten my nails done and asked for a manicure they didn't cut my cuticle or massage lotion or oil oil soak my hands. NOTHING!!!

So although my nails look good, I won’t be back to Studionails Sellersburg which saddens me! but here’s my experience: last Monday and got dip also brought a new customer with me, my dip was not only smudgy, but it was thin and 2 nails had broken the same day I got it done! I never ask for anything free but being a loyal customer I wanted them fixed. I sent a facebook message and got a quick response that they would redo them, I was appreciative and all was well. I had an appointment set for 3:00 today, arrived at 2:55, and Allen (who my appointment was with) had just started on a girls nails who is a student at silver creek so she had literally just gotten out of school. question 1: why would you take someone that close to my arrival time AFTER my nails were just messed up last week? question 2: you had 3 employees sitting doing nothing who could have or should have been able to do her nails. so, due to my 45 minute wait (making me run late in my other things I needed to get done by 5) I asked for the new diamond dip. he said it is $10 extra, I asked to get it at no additional charge due to A my nails being messed up last week and B me patiently waiting 45 extra minutes past my appointment time. he ignored me saying that and said so what color do you want I said again, the diamond but I didn’t want to pay the $10. mind you I am there every 3 weeks, tip well, and pay for add one regularly. he said no, you can’t have it for no charge, never apologized for my horrible dip job, and then never apologized for running late. didn’t speak to me the entire service. disrespectful and unprofessional. you stand by your work and if it isn’t up to par or your other artists don’t do well you fix it and if you are late you most certainly apologize!! I won’t be back sadly, and no longer will recommend this nail salon.

Read moreBeen going there for over a year at first saw charlie who was nice but horrible at nails. Then switched over to Allen. I try not to be hard to deal with, but I can't let people take advantage of me either. He was late for most appointments.I would sit there for twenty to thirty minutes. Then, when I was late, once he puts out a newsletter saying he will charge us for being late. I'm talking 5mins late. He has an attitude anytime you ask him to fix a nail. But had no problem trying to overcharge me. This was when I asked what was involved with the manicure, he says a massage,cuticles and soak. So I don't say anything, as he's doing my nails cause I think he's gonna do it later, but he soaks, my fingernails, pushes my cuticles back and does my fill in. So I figured he didn't have time. I figured he wouldn't charge me. I asked him how much it was. He charges me for a full manicure that he didn't do. When I ask him why he didn't do the full manicure. He gets angry, puts lotion in his hands with grid from the nails. Grabs my arm, start rubbing the lotion on my arm, and then says there. I was so embarrassed. I still left him a tip and thought.Maybe he was having a bad day, but I let it go. I also leave a twenty percent tip, no matter what. I tried to leave emotions out of it. So after a year of going there every 2nd Friday this past week, I had covid, I called right After my appointment because I was sick and they never called back. So my new appointment rolls around and my friend texted me that Allen had texted her.If I miss another appointment which i've only ever missed one that I would no longer be able to get my nails done there. Which again is embarrassing?Why didn't you call me?I know you have my number..
