The Mustard Seed Thrift on Mission — Local services in Clarksville

Went by on Thursday of last week. Checked the time had 12 minutes until they closed at 7. My 5yo just wanted a toy for a quick prize I promised him for being good. Door was locked. Checked time and hours on the door again and a lady eventually came out told me they were closed and I said but it is not 7 and she said well it says 7 "ish" on the door. I explained we would be quick...she said sorry we have already shut everything down. But there is a new sign that says now open until 7 p.m.! I mean really?? Very disappointing and unprecedented. I can't stress how important it is to keep your doors open and unlocked until your POSTED open times. If you have a customer that wants to come and you should let them in esp in retail always. I understand you are are a mission based company but the retail rules...

I’ve donated several items to this place over the past couple years. (Sellersburg). Yesterday, after my donation I decided to go in and shop. I found a pair of men’s hunting pants that I tried to purchase, there was a tag on it with the original price crossed out and a new price of $1.77 on it. So, when I went to pay the lady said very loud that that’s not the price, she asked another lady if she wanted to sell them to me at that price she yelled NO! And proceeded to say someone marked them down in a way that she was accusing me of it. All I had was my change purse. She then said so do you want them for the original price or not. Obviously I said no and left. Several people witnessed the way these ladies acted. Extremely rude and unprofessional! I will find another place that...

Been donating items to the Sellersburg location for about 2 years now and shopping at both for even longer. I like their mission. However on Saturday August 3rd was dropping off some clothes, shoes and household items, they were pretty busy at the time. One employee said something to another and the lady snapped back "well they'll just have to wait". She then raises her voice to myself and the person in front of me dropping items off not to just set stuff on the ground( it was all to the side by the building where other items were already setting and cars could still drive through). She was very rude not only to people making donations but in the way she spoke to her coworkers/employee. I may have to rethink where my future...
