I wanted to write this review for the people struggling through the other reviews of this facility. I was there too, I was struggling to find a safe happy place for my baby and the reviews just steered me off. I took my chances. They had cameras. And they were PROFESSIONAL.
At first the over professionalism wasnāt for me. Every other facility answered my questions less robotic. I know thatās crazy but Iām not sure what else I was expecting lol. It did feel less personal and more professional but hey, Iām glad with the choice I made as the professionalism is likely what made me feel the most comfortable with them in the end.
I use to work at camp bowwow, so my initial tour I was a little discouraged. Again, keep in mind I have zero boarding experience aside from my work experience. The Back of the house is far from āboutique boardingā but it is clean. We put my boy in a suite, which is basically the same size as everything else. Listen, if I could have booked a place with a 47 inch flat screen and a personal dog petter I would have lol. I am 30 and my dog is my only āchildā so this was an experience for me.
So my dog wouldnāt eat, he was stressed to the max. The facility did everything they could. They sat with him, cooked him food and broth, gave him treats whatever he would eat. They also called me and responded to my emails and calls promptly.
My dog, who has never been in boarding, cams home happy.
The cons: Located right off the highway Prices are a little high for the suites Webcams are outdated but I know that was something they were working on
Pros: Professionalism Sanitary They took the time to introduce my dog to the play area (heās never been around that many dogs at once)
I would absolutely give this place a chance. My dog seemed to have fun, and was relaxed after a few days. He was happy coming home. Yes, he bolted out of there Cuz hello his mommy was there to take him home but it was not because of abuse etc. he was cared and loved on just like he would be at home minus his family.
Yes he came home stinking because thatās what happens when dogs play and you donāt request a bath.
At the end of the day, my dog had his own pad, his own blankets which they washed a few times while I was gone, and a young female leader who he thoroughly enjoyed. I appreciate her for sitting with him, and hand feeding him. She is a very sweet girl. The total bill was in the 300 range for 4-5 days I cannot remember which tbh, was a steel. We did get one evening free because we were first timers. I did view him in the play areas multiple times a day and outback, when they FINALLY got him to play with the tennis ball! We will definitely be using BNB in the future when needed. Thatās a fact!

Ā Ā Ā Read moreI took my dog here for daycare to allow him some run time with other dogs. He was dropped off at 11am with a scheduled pick up time of 3pm. At 12pm I didn't see my 6 month old dog on the doggie camera so I called to ask where my dog was... the lead supervisor told me she was not sure where he was because she was at the front desk and they dont update her on the dogs. I was put on hold for 5 minutes and she came back to tell me my dog was in a bunker alone for a rest break, after less than 1 hour of arriving for playtime... and he will remain there until 2pm but remember he was going be picked up at 3pm. I told them that I bring my dog there to play with other dogs and not to be locked away in a bunker alone. The employee told me that they put him in the ring with older dogs over 50 lbs because they were under staffed due to a call out and could not place him with the medium dogs. She told me my 6 month old dog was afraid of the over 50lbs older big dogs and that's why he was placed in a bunker. MISTAKE #1 The employee should have been able to tell me where my dog was right away. #2 they should have asked me if it was ok to put him with bigger dogs THAT WAS DANGEROUS for my pup. #3 the employee said I should have asked to be called and notified if I wanted to know this information about placing my dog with bigger dogs HOW WAS I SUPPOSEDTO KNOW if they dont tell me. #4 the employee huffed and puffed while on the phone with me and then asked me what did I want her to do about it because it was not her fault she had just started her shift. There were many other things that went wrong but the bottom line is if I didnt call to check on my dog I would have never know he was going to be caged the entire 4 hour of his playtime at daycare. I PICKED MY DOG UP ASAP!!! If you are thinking about using this business ask yourself "do I love my dog/pet" if the answer is yes then look elsewhere for boarding care. I will never return back to this place after how myself was treated and how my dog was just thrown into a cage because they were short staffed. I am so disappointed. My dog is my family and he should not have been treated this way. If they were short staffed they shouldn't have checked him in and should not of accepted anymore bisiness. We picked him up in less than 2 hours due to him being kept in a cage and they still charged...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreAfter looking around for a good place to board my senior pup, I settled on Bluebonnet. Over the phone and in person, all the staff were amazing. Dropping off my dog was a breeze, and I included a toy, his medication, and treats for them to be administered if needed and instructions. Dropped off Friday morning, picked up a Monday morning. I was so excited to bring home my baby, price was reasonable and payment was a breeze. All I was told is that they found fleas on him. They brought him out with his belongings, and I am upset to say I didn't recognize my own dog. He was antsy, shedding like crazy, and trying so hard to get away from the building. I've never seen my pup so worked up ever. Upside, he smelled great, they might have bathed him, but I didn't ask for that, nor was I told he received any grooming. Got home and I realized they sent his toy home, but hadn't returned his medication, nor the treats to administer them. I called and asked about it, and they told me I could come get them any time, and that they had administered medication during his stay. When I got there, I asked for details about when he was medicated and his dosage, and they said they had not actually medicated him, but his treats for medication administration weren't there either. They claimed to have counted his pills at check-in and they were the same at check-out, which I verified when I was in the car. This is on me. I should have done better research, counted his medication prior to dropping him off, and called to check in on him daily. I didn't do right by my pup by boarding him here, and I will certainly look for a better place next time. However, this place didn't do right by my dog either. I have no clue what services he received, they failed to keep track of if he was medicated or not, failed to return his belongings at check out, and seemed to have neglect signs of severe stress and anxiety in my baby. Perhaps the staff don't understand how to care for senior dogs, and I'd like to give them the benefit of the doubt, but after this experience, I will not be boarding my pup or any other animals at Bluebonnet Bunk'n Biscuit...
