TA Truck Service — Local services in Selma

Warning to all truckers needing repair. I came here for a leveling valve problem about 7 pm they looked at what I said was the problem went for the part and didn’t have the right one and wanted to charge me a full hour diagnostic charge for me telling them the problem. Then they said they have to order the part at 8am at 9 am I called them and they said the system was down then 30 minutes later after I called and secured the part they said the system was not down and heard I ordered the part. At this point I knew the price of the part but manager wanted $150 over what I knew the price to be and another $150 to send someone to get the part. I went by Uber and saved the money. Brought the part back. Tech was clueless on how to install the part got it on wrong many times then left at 4 pm still not fixed. They said they would have it looked at by another tech but after 3 hours no tech. On the job. I don’t know how long this is going to take but it’s way too long and expensive and I lost a lot of money in work. WARNING DO NOT COME HERE YOU...

I came in with a plethora of preventive issues, from pm to tires to DOT inspection, and also had a tire problem on my trailer. These guys were great,, from Calvin Currie who did my pm/oil change,, to Kendall Manning who did everything else. It was Kendall who found out I needed brake pads on my rear axle. Naturally, since I have disk brakes,, they didn't have them in stock, and none of the shops in the area had them either. Mark, the service manager, didn't give up and found them 70 miles away. He kept me in the loop, was able to get them for me and I was repaired and legal before midnight. Kendall, while waiting on the parts,, went out into the parking lot and repaired the trailer issue. I was always told not to pass off the man that pays you,, that keeps you healthy and especially the one that works on your truck. Mark could have very easily said no one in the area has the part, but he didn't and Kendall could have waited to repair the trailer after completing my truck,, but he didn't. Went to the TA truck shop here in Kenly NC, showed up at 5:45 am. Was told a 6 hour wait, so I jumped in line at the Blue Beacon and 3 hours later got a truck wash, then wasted time until 1:30pm when I got my truxk in the shop for a pm. Well the service was done but oil was sprayed ALL over the front of my truck. I mean not just a little, but it had to be half a gallon. On the engine, windshield, visor, top of the cab and sleeper. They give me a free wash at their facility across the the strwet at the iowa 80 wash. After another 2 hour wait I get in the wash bay and they merely sprayed my truck off. The oil was still everywhere. I got today and cleaned it myself. It's a shame the service from this visit. I give 3 stars cause at least the service was completed but at hours if my time lost. I will NEVER use this facility again. It is an outrage that placed treat us truxk owners/drivers this way. TA execs should at least offer a free pm service but all I got was a lousey...
