Benfield Sportscenter — Local services in Severn

One of the nicer indoor sports complexes in the area (I have three kids who play soccer, so we've been to pretty much ALL of them at one point or another.) Unlike some places where you are greeted with the overwhelming scent of, well, gym stink, we are typically greeted with the overwhelming smell of fresh popcorn in the lobby!

The facility is kept up well, has plenty of comfortable room for spectators, reasonable snacks/refreshments available if you want to buy them, etc. The only real issue is the parking. The parking lot is far too small for the crowd on a weekend day with games going on, and even what space there is is very confused and hard to navigate. The Benfield Sportscenter is an excellent sports facility cetrally located in Anne Arundel County of Maryland. Apart from its excellent facilities, what makes it stand out is the hands-on management style of its owners and staff to ensure that customers get a quality experience. Any request, question, or issue may be addressed directly to the owners. They themselves are avid athletes and sport people, and they understand whats important to the customers.

For the past 2 years, BCS has sponsored showcase field hockey events to encourage and highlight the sport to young athletes in the region. We are very appreciative of the support that Ben and Lucas have given to the sport.

I was there for 2017/18 winter season. I was very disappointed; benches are inside the field where the kids are playing, therefore, they have to be mindful of the benches whenever they're playing near the benches. For adults, you have to walk in their playing ground in order to get to seating bench. Refs are inexperienced and very rude on how they treat kids. Score boards needed to be replace years ago, can't even read time or score. Parking is awful, most of the time you have to park out on the side of the street. I will not be going back there again, I switched to Odenton sports center instead, a little smaller location and further distance for me, but it's well worth it and much more...
