Harbor Freight — Local services in Sharon Hill

When I’m out doing business whether it’s for my company SMT Personal Concierges, or my own personal errand, I am aware good customer service experience can be a hit or miss. However, when an associate is just rude well that’s another story. On this evening I went to Harbor Freight to look around. As I pulled up to the parking spot I saw one of the associates outside smoking a cigarette. Obviously she spotted me looking at the door as I parked my car. Once I turned my car off and opened my door to get out she quickly put out her cigarette, ran inside the store, locked the door and ran in the back as if she did not see me. Now, I get it...sometimes when it’s the end of the day and we want to go home the last thing we want to deal with is some last minute shopper. I get that! What bothered me the most was the rude behavior. The seeing me pull up, knowing I’m headed that way, dropping your cigarette to run inside the store, lock the door and run in the back as if you didn’t see me. Now that’s rude. She could have easily said ma’am we are close for the day, we will reopen tomorrow morning at whatever time. She...

I've noticed over the past year or so a serious uptick in quality service. I'm a fairly frequent customer and have been very happy with the staff there. They are extremely friendly and helpful. Both associates I had this week saw my name after my phone number went in and made a point of saying "did you find everything ok Doug?" And "have a nice day Doug", it's something that I believe is above and beyond their duties.

Its been disappointing that the coupons are not nearly as frequent, but the new upscale line of tools have been seriously impressive. As long as the staff that works there now greets me with a smile and politeness I'll be a return customer for sure, keep it up...

This is one of my favorite stores of all time so on a personal note I'm in a good mood when I walk in here to begin with. Think of Harbor Freight as the "affordable alternative" to that Depot chain some are familiar with. The deals that they have at this store never cease to amaze me and I find that I rarely can walk out of the store without purchasing something that I may or may not even need because I just don't have it. Can you get things here that you can get at other stores? Absolutely. Are you going to be these prices? A snowball's chance in hell is greater than you finding a better deal somewhere else.
