I had the pleasure speaking with Barbara at the Sharon Post Office during what I imagine is their busiest time of year, just two days before Christmas. Despite the rush, Barbara was incredibly kind, patient, and attentive. She listened carefully to my concerns about packages my mother had shipped from Minnesota (one mistakenly with an error) and Barbara explained the possible outcomes with clarity, while still offering hope in the process. She took my information and assured me she would follow up if there were any updates or if the package turned up. It was also comforting and greatly appreciated that she offered to keep an eye out for it.
What really stood out was that later that morning, my mom received a call from Barbara, who had taken the initiative to reach out and update her as well, which was truly above and beyond. While the outcome of the package is still pending, I can’t express enough how much Barbara’s kindness and helpfulness have meant to us. She has made a stressful situation so much easier. I've received several notifications that packages were delivered to my house, when they were not delivered.
"Your package was handed off directly"
Blatantly lying to customers and recipients. I'm told that USPS scans packages prior to delivery, which dies NOT CONFIRM DELIVERY.
I've had a missing packages delivered later than they're confirmation date. The package was also damaged and taped up with USPS tape (I was happy about the sticker that told me that they did damage it and apologized for it). But that damaged package ended up on my doorstep a little past 9pm, well after my normal 3pm mail, which NEVER HAPPENS.
Between December 2018 and February 2019 I've had 2 false delivery notifications, 2 missing packages and 1 crushed package.
I understand that they're busy and things can happen.
I DON'T UNDERSTAND OR APPRECIATE BEING LIED TO.
That's unacceptable, especially from a business that titled UNITED STATES POSTAL SERVICE.
They should be ashamed at themselves for making USPS...

The elderly woman gave me a lot of attitude when I informed her I was here to pick up packages because my mailbox was down for a few day's. After giving me my packages, she said "Do you need help, you have a brand new baby?" She then said to a young male worker, "No, she doesn't need help, she has a brand new baby." And urges him not to help me. I could then hear her talking about me to her coworkers in a loud enough tone so I could hear. "She brings a brand new baby to pick up packages and asks for no one to help me.” I’d like to think she was having a bad day, however the boy who ended up helping me said she is grumpy and always acts like that and apologized...
