Spirit of the Northwoods — Local services in Shawano

Yesterday, 9/13/19, were on our way back to Green Bay on a 3 day antiquing trip to Eau Claire, Chippewa Falls, and Wausau. The final stop was here in Shawano. We have been to this store before and have made purchases. The store is pretty large and we would normally spend about an hour looking here. We were in the store for about ten minutes and had already found a couple items we were interested in when I needed to use the bathroom. I had ulcerative colitis and had my colon removed, so I need to go to the bathroom more often. My wife asked if they had a bathroom and was told they don't have public restrooms. The man said we could go across the street to a different business. I understand businesses don't want people coming off the street just to use their bathroom, but you won't let paying customers use your bathroom. We left, with our money. Not sure if...

This store has everything travellers and vacationers would be interested in, in regards to gifts, collectibles and antiques. There are some very nice art pieces, Native American, local artists, and other new art represented. Antique venders offer decorative glass, older wood collectibles, some primitives, and quite a few bottles, including local beer and soda bottles. Fresh fudge, made on site, is reasonably priced and made in several different flavors. We had pleasant conversations with the "fudge lady" and the lady at the main check out area. A selection from the typical cabin look to the more vintage/collectible. Enjoy browsing there; large inventory. If you see apparel you like but not available in the size you need, they're happy to order items for you.

Would have given a higher rating but consider their prices nothing special; typical to a little high. Not sure if they negotiate on resale items as I didn't ask.
