Atwoods — Local services in Shawnee

I have purchased Victor Plus dog food here on multiple occasions. Unfortunately, Atwood’s does not stand behind their products or have any integrity when it comes to pet safety. I bought one bag that was patched and ended up with mice infestation. On two other occasions, I bought large bags that were infested with worms. The first time it happened, they were kind to replace the bag. But the second time it happened, they refused to even when I explained that my dog had experienced a seizure for the first time ever! (He is a healthy 2 year old goldendoodle that goes to the vet to get routine health checkups.) I am most alarmed that they have no care for pet safety and still sell packages that have been entirely opened and re-taped (see below) at a “discount.” (I never got a discount when I purchased a taped bag)… and are not putting your pet’s health first. They put profit over sanitation and health. Therefore, I will not buy a single item from this store ever again. Please be cautious if you buy any dog food or treats from this store and keep the bag to prove your purchase if you run into the same...

The staff here are so rude. Both my husband and I politely asked several employeese questions that no one could awnser and they just left it with. I don't know. Seriously no customer service here. Also coming into the store my son was interested in a 1$ toy from the coin toy machines, in which we only had ones and needed to get 4 quarters. When my husband asked the lady at the register she said she couldn't open register that it would need to be someone else's higher up but, then couldn't tell my husband who and left it at that. My husband then asked another lady at register who also turned him down explaining she couldn't just open register, so we then assumed after ringing up our items at register and paying when would then be given the opportunity to get change. Wrong! we we're then turned down again WTH people!! Don't have toy machines in your store if your not going help out simply making change for your paying customers. Seriously I'm never coming back, not that they would care but, when customer service is lost, so is my interest in spending my money at your location.

Being a red neck, I have to say I could browse through here most of the day. Most of the plants they have remaining are dead or dying. But alot of the chain stores plants are now. I think the heat hasn't helped them any. We bought some salted peanuts in the shell, and some bedding for the critters. They have better prices than walmart on those things. Also bought a few tudes of red and tacky grease, and a few other things. After 2 hours, I had to start black mailing my wife in order to get her to leave. But in all fairness, she usually has to do it to me. I wish they had better prices on their stihl products. Would love to have a new chain saw and weed eater. But I will probably buy them from amazon or the likes. This location in shawnee is not as well maintained as most of their other stores. Buy that, I mean they dont seem to have all the inventory I've seen at others. But its probably due to the Covid. Seems everything...
