Cimarron Terrace Apartments — Local services in Shawnee

My boyfriend and I thought it would be a good place to live but we were wrong. Half of our carpet in the living room can be pulled completely up. Our doors half the time don’t close all the way or at all and my boyfriend has had to fix them multiple times. Get ready for phone calls bc the people in the office will call you about anything and everything (clearly they need to be appointed to some more work to keep them busy). They have no parking. My friend has to park by the dumpsters bc it’s the only parking and he lives 2 apartment complex’s away from the dumpsters. I asked them in October of 2018 to fix my light outside my apartment building bc I came home one night from work and a random man was sitting outside my bedroom window (in the dark and with a hood on) and they said it would be fixed in about 2 weeks. ITS CURRENTLY APRIL OF 2019?!! We will NOT be signing another another lease bc thankfully we got some land and a house but I wouldn’t recommend living here. AT ALL....

We've lived here for over a year and we love it! The complex is kept up wonderfully, the office staff are friendly and efficient, and maintenance is top notch in every way. We love that they do fun communal activities for everyone because it helps feel connected to a community (a refreshing rarity in today's world). Most of our neighbors are great people and every single person involved in running Cimarron is amazing. We haven't had a single complaint that hasn't been readily addressed since we moved in. The parking situation is difficult, but they make the best out of the limiting situation they have in that regard.

We have lived here less then 6 months and we have had our cars broken into multiple times. They said “not our problem don’t leave anything valuable in your vehicle.” There is never any parking accept under the awning which is rented out. I’m 7 almost 8 months pregnant and they said “well there is parking in other places around the building sorry it’s not convenient for you.” This place is an absolute joke and I wish I would have never...
