Shawnee Outreach Thrift Store — Local services in Shawnee

Went in today and couldn't even enjoy myself to shop. Extremely hot inside the shop. The clerk stated it just now became hot I don't know if they're trying to save money by not turning on the a/c but the door could have at least been opened so the breeze could have came in. Wasn't told about a sale of any kind but the clerk did tell my friend that her items could have cost her 12.00 dollars yesterday instead of 25.00 today? Then a skirt that clearly had bleach on it was priced for 4.99 most items were 4.99. Brand new items are priced 4.99 at Ross and Walmart. It's a clean place I did see cute things just overpriced and the store was extremely hot which made the experience not enjoyable so I didn't purchase anything. You can't think when you're burning up. Not only did I say something about how hot it was but three other customers complained. Idk maybe I'll give this place another try. Edited Review: My Best friend and I went in again today well the half off sales are only for seniors 55 + we weren't told that last time we we're in not only that but several of the customers gave my best and I dirty looks , I don't know why I guess it's because they're old dried up prunes with nothing better to do then be hateful. Alright. I am down the street getting an interlock installed into a 1994 baby blue Ford Escort (cause clearly Imake good life decisions). Well, that took a couple hours. So me and my pops swung down the street (on foot of course) to get some of that thin slice roast beef at the Arby's. We had eyed this thrift store beforehand. We walk in and I am browsing like I do on the internet and what do I see? A sling shot, tennis ball launcher. I says to myself, my life kinda sucks right now, I will only get this if it is under $10. Always a lovely place to visit. Staff is nice, the store is clean, and never long to wait at the register. They have weekly discounts on clothing. You won't find any clothing that is high quality or furniture thats spotless- but if you're on a budget and crafty it can be a real treasure trove!
