Town Plaza Shopping Center — Local services in Sheffield

Sadly this "shopping center" is dismal at best. The primary anchor store is a horrendously outdated Foodland Store. The thought of actually buying groceries from this location is terrifying. Aside from this, the most upscale business in this entire shopping center is a fairly new coin laundry. The establishment is typically nice and clean, but at least half of the machines, both washers and dryers tend to be out of order. There's a discount store on the other end of things that seems to have limited hours. There have been multiple attempts to open night clubs on both ends of the shopping center and it seems those projects have not worked out. The empty McDonald's that sits in the parking lot used to be a draw for locals seeking a quick and easy meal. This would be highly beneficial to the area if someone would repurpouse it as a restaurant of some kind. If someone would actually take the time to revitalize this shopping center, I think locals would be appreciative and might stop crossing the tracks and taking all their business to Muscle Shoals. Jacks dollar deals is ok. The woman who owns the whole thing however is a b*h. Hey honey if your gonna brag on owning a building and get on to innocent children for riding bikes on the sidewalk how about pave the parking lot and paint some parking spots so they dont get injured or mowed down by a car ... it's riddled with holes. My wife and I ate at the new CATS Seafood restaurant in Town Plaza Shopping Center. We had a catfish dinner and steamed shrimp with french fries, Cole slaw, and hush puppies. The catfish fillets were good, the steamed shrimp was good, and the Cole slaw was terrific! The food and service were fine, but they had run out of the sides for their low country boils (potatoes, corn, sausage) by 5:00 in the afternoon. We will be back at some point to try the...
