Nellie Mae Boutique — Local services in Sheffield

After hearing about Nellie Mae for years and seeing some online posts, I visited their physical location for the first time on 5/18/23. The store is absolutely beautiful and they have everything laid out very nicely. That being said, the 2 women working were as cold, unfriendly, and completely unhelpful as I believe I’ve ever encountered. I honestly was in shock with how rude and disinterested they were when I walked in and asked how they were and mentioned I had never been in before. There was no “can we help you find something specific” or a mentioning of their sale rack in the back, which I found on my own, and maybe my expectations are too high but I just figured since I was the only person in the store besides the employees that they would care more to try and make a sale or at least make me feel welcome. I decided not to let their attitudes keep me from looking around because although they came across I was not good enough to be in their store or presence or both, I had no reason to feel that way, so I did spend about 10 minutes looking around. They never spoke to me, even as I was leaving and said thank you. Nothing. Unpleasant atmosphere aside, the clothes seemed of good quality but they hardly had any dresses for summer, which was what I was looking for. It also seemed that the majority of their clothes were sizes small and medium which do not work for me. Maybe it was an off day for the ladies and for the selection.

I rarely leave reviews but was pretty disappointed in the quality of these clothes. I will say I have had hit or misses ordering online from here but I just did a haul of around 9 items (all for $8 final sale) so wasn’t expect top notch clothing. But only around 4 of the items were worth keeping/wearing. Mostly all products cheaply made from China, similar to Shein quality which is sometimes fine. But presenting yourself as a boutique and even sharing multiple videos of employees wearing these clothes with their opinions I expected more. The front latch on one of the dresses already fell off trying on once. I guess the videos led me astray 🤷🏼‍♀️ Still decent if you are looking for cheap hit or...

Purchased a $50 calendar and I received the smaller candle that cost $33. Huge difference in size and cost. I am pretty disappointed they didn’t catch this while packing. The packing slip states and what so purchased : “3 wick candle in bowl” / I received a 1 wick, Christmas tree product. I have not heard back from Customer Service. The automated email also informs the customer:
