Hidden Gems Card Shop — Local services in Shelby Charter Township

Came across this store when I moved into the area, and glad I did. At first with the current Pokemon craze I thought they would be dishonest/untrustworthy who would jack the prices... but after having a few conversations with them I found they're really nice and do try to get you want at good prices for what the market is at. I told the manager those initial thoughts and I hope he didn't take it the wrong way, because now I do believe they are good people doing what they enjoy. They also know a lot about cards and will help educate you on what your best purchase would be based off what you're trying to do/collect.

Anyways, I bought a bunch of stuff from here since keeping an open mind, and found myself getting some good deals. Way cheaper than the card shop in downtown Rochester. I'll probably end up doing business with them...

This really is a Hidden Gem! My son and I collect Pokemon cards, and right now Pokemon cards are hard to find and most places are completely overpricing them and ripping you off. They still managed to have a decent selection, especially of singles, and the owner was really upfront (without me even asking) about which sets being sold were at MSRP and which he was forced to sell for more because he had to get them on the secondary market. Even those were sold for very fair current market value. No other card shop I went into did this. This will definitely be my go-to shop in the future. It’s small but in this case that’s a plus because they really care about the customers, and they still manage to have a good selection. My husband and I went into Hidden Gems with our grandson. JON was incredible with him. He was very patient and very kind. He gave our grandson a few extras for reaching some recent " milestones " in his challenging young life. The other guys there were just as kind and patient. They really listened and actually seemed to care what my grandson was interested in. It was obvious that they weren't out to try to just make money but to make a very happy customer, which they succeed and had our gratitude doing so.
