Disabled American Veterans Ch. 129 — Attraction in Shelby Charter Township

Well I wasn't sure as to whether or not I was actually going to write a review..but I feel like others need to know before they book their events here specifically their wedding. There was certainly a lot of good but there was also some bad. This place is 100% customizable and definitely worth the money if you're on a budget. (The good) With that being said make sure you account for all the cost of food, decor and alcohol with the venue. I chose this place because it was closer to the airport than where I live and I had family coming in from out of town. You are given 2 hours to do decorating and your rehearsal the day before. It also clearly states on the website if you need more time that it's $25 an hour.. well it does not state that you have to tell them that in advance. I was left hanging and was rushed to get everything done. We barely got any of the decorating done the night before the wedding so there were some people that had to come back at 3:00 p.m. to finish setting up as my wedding was at 5:00 and you are only allowed in 2 hours before your allocated time. Thankfully I had a wedding coordinator who came and set things up at 3:00 p.m. however there were still things that needed to be done that were not what they needed to be and things did not get done. However we did have a beautiful wedding and reception. Another noteworthy thing is that the bartender definitely needs some more formal training. It's definitely easy to overpour when the liquor doesn't come out of your pocket. Also be sure your guests know where they are going as GPS does not take you to the actual location. I had several guests to miss my entire ceremony because of this. This place is great for the money but don't expect to be able to do anything over the top as far as decorations go or u will be sadly...

Had a party there a few years ago and the staff kept trying to quiet us down before the local sound ordinance. We paid staff but not sure why since we had to clean the venue before and after the party and they didn’t do much other than watch the cooler and eat our food... Very weird vibes from the staff, 0/10 would not recommend, worst venue I’ve ever...
