Walgreens — Local services in Shelbyville

Becoming impossible to pick up medications here. I've struggled to collect the same medication since May, and have also been constantly held up about needles with which I take the medication. I have not had these problems with this pharmacy for years until now, but now it seems the pharmacist is a lazy hack who isn't actually teaching anyone anything and isn't doing his own job. I was told in person 2 weeks ago that I would be able to pick this medication up last Wednesday. This week we still needed to call them more than 3 times before they told us they had to call in an insurance override - because they filed that i had collected the medication in May that they never allowed me to pick up! and then I wake up today to be told... I can collect my needles, but not the medication! Because it's out of stock! They never ordered the medication in when I spoke to them 2 weeks ago. They failed to properly handle problems with my insurance from the get-go, and they have repeatedly failed out to my prescribing provider to inform them about the situation, so I cannot give my doctor much for details, because they're being left in the dark by the pharmacist and so am I! Ridiculous! Move your medications NOW. These complaints about 30 minute delays for pickups are turning into delays of days,...

Great Place to go to get photos and the staff is very friendly, sometimes they don't have what I need but they always are willing to help me find alternatives or order things online for me the best part is that the shipping is free ! The staff I could tell were very involved with the community knowing the names of the postman and some of the customers they knew just by name. There is a wait for some things like prescriptions but that is life we have to wait for some things, in an age where everything is digital people expect too much out of the human element. Wonderful place to visit.

They close at 10 Monday - Friday in the pharmacy and at 6 on the weekends people always complain about it but i think it is nice those people back there work hard. I have been going here for a year and i have seen people throw things at them call them slurs and be nasty to them, they are trying to do so much with limited staff they tell me all the time that they wish they had more people to cover the things they can not get to.

The bathrooms could be a lot more clean and the water fountains need a filter to get rid of that nasty city water taste. that is the reason for the 4 stars, otherwise great...

I just got off a 12 hour shift and I needed to pick up my dogs anxiety medications. So I called and I informed them that I was on my way and that my GPS said that I would arrive 1 minute after they closed. And I asked if they would be able to still give me my dogs medications as they are necessary for him. And she said “no I’m sorry we close at 10”. Really? You can’t stay 1 minute extra for customer service? I am transferring my prescriptions, and I will never use this pharmacy again. One minute past closing was all I needed to get a vital medication for my dogs separation anxiety. I could understand if it was five minutes .. or 10 minutes. But seriously 1 minute, 60 seconds, past closing was way to above and beyond for your employees. That’s pretty poor customer service in my opinion.
