Edit in response to the owner: Five mins is not a long time to wait for a table, but at least have a host to acknowledge the patron, or let guests seat themselves. I will add that many families came in after us and waited MUCH longer to be seated. While it was busier than when we arrived, there WERE clean, available tables. If you like premade, bland, cold food...this place is for you! :)
We are a family of four, kids are five and under. We arrived on a Friday around 6pm and waited about five mins for a table, even though there were tables available. The whole place was smoky, which made my kids cough most of our time there. Our waitress was pleasant, kind and courteous, but seemed to be rushing. We ordered waters to drink and they were never refilled. We order "Lobster Rangoons" as an appetizer, probably the worst tasting Rangoons either one of us have ever had and we've had our share of Rangoons. We also received Miso Soup and Salad with our meals. The Miso soup had a horrible sour taste, both of us took one bite and placed to the side. The salad was TINY and the ginger dressing for the salad was in a ketchup colored bottle on the table, which we were not told and we did not realize until a few mins later, the taste of it was good. I had the Sushi Dinner Bento, NEVER again (2/10). It arrived about 15 mins before my husband's and kids'. My husband ordered the Steak Dinner Bento, he says it was bland and not hot. He said the Yum yum sauce he used was not the yum yum sauce we've had before, seemed watered down. Our kids shared a kids "chicken plate" that consisted of A LOT of rice, a small amount of broccoli and carrots and six small pieces of cold chicken. I gave two stars because the facility, floors and table seemed clean and staff was nice. The robot was a neat feature, but I prefer a person and question how clean it is with everyone needing to touch the screen to return the robot to the kitchen. We were hoping to have a good experience at this new restaurant for our first time, but we will unfortunately not...
Read moreThis was our first time here and honestly we were a little disappointed.
Zero ambiance. Sterile like a middle school cafeteria.
The food quality was about an 8 out of 10 but the impersonal waiter took a toll on the over all experience along with the lack of price value.
We shared three dishes. Total before tip $41.31
I didn't care for the Naruto Roll but my wife liked it. It was pretty but just lacked flavor.
Shrimp Tempura Roll was very nice. It kinda surprised me that the shrimp was deep fried and still warm. It was the first time for me to have a warm roll.
The Pepper Tuna Tataki was a total rip off approaching false advertising. The menu photo showed 7-8 slices of seared tuna that appeared to be about ¼ inch thick. What we got were 5 wafer thin slices on top of some iceberg lettuce and cucumber. At most there was only 1 1/2 or 2 ounces of tuna. Very tasty but a really big disappointment.
Over all I'd give them a 7 or maybe 7 1/2. It will not be a regular dinner spot for us.
I saw some earlier posts about a robot waiter but tonight appeared to be his night off, no where to be seen :)
I'm wondering if the owner is going to jump down my throat like others here who offered constructive criticism. I predict an...
Read moreCoworkers and I ordered lunch. Found a hair in the mushroom appetizer I'd ordered but to anyone's shock, that wasn't even the most disappointing part. It's a small mushroom in a large mound of breading. I literally had to tear it open to find a mushroom which I guess is fortunate as that's how I discovered the hair. I ordered the lunch bento Chicken teriyaki. The Philadelphia roll did not taste fresh and something tasted off about the spring roll. Coworker said the yum yum sauce did not taste like typical yum yum. The overall consensus from all of us: we will not be returning. I highly recommend Rikishi in Crestwood and a few coworkers said they'll stick with Sake Blue.
In response to the response:
"The fried mushroom you said is not bread, it is salmon, mixed with the fried, so it is big, that is more important is the fish, the mushroom is a match."
I went ahead and looked it up. What I had was the WISE MUSHROOM. I didn't know it was supposed to have salmon, and it didn't 🤣🤣🤣 It's not good and based on other reviews, seems a common opinion when it comes to both the food and...
