El Nopal Taylorsville Rd — Restaurant in Kentucky

I’ve been to this El Nopal location twice. The first time, the food was good. I didn’t even get service last time I went. I showed up around 8:15 pm. The neon OPEN sign was flashing. The door wasn’t locked. My husband & I walked in. An employee walked up to us. She said, “We close at nine” and walked off. She wasn’t even polite about denying us service. We got the hint that we needed to get lost. I used to work in customer service for 3 years. I get that it’s hard to smile 24/7. It wasn’t like we showed up 5 minutes before closing. It was over 40 minutes before closing time & there were only two small groups of customers in the restaurant. Oh well. We went to Cracker Barrel after that. My husband & I are good tippers, & I’m sure that the polite waiter at CB appreciated...

We have gone here in the Shelbyville store at least once or twice a week. One week we ended going there three times. We have never spent less than $55. Well they have gotten to where their service is bad. Once they forgot my tacos on my carry out. Now three times they have forgotten their tamitillo. ( which they charge if I ask for extra. I called to let them know that that my order was not complete. They took my number and promised the manager would get back to me within an hour. I called back three hours later and was told the manager still wasn’t there and was not returning his text. Well I guess they don’t care for a customer that...

Nice restaurant. Had the Chimichanga with rice and beans and guacamole. The guacamole is great! I liked the chips and salsa but the not spicy salsa tasted better than the spicy. My coworker got the taco salad, I thought it was a little small or not so full and a lot of shell but... I tried to order the Heart of Kentucky mixed drink but they said they don’t sell the mixed drinks on their menu only the basic ones.
