Iāve been a loyal customer of Dillardās for years and just happen to stay at the Hyatt Place in Short Pump and walked over to the shop. I met Lilly and now only shop at this retail outlet. I have several Dillardās within twenty minutes of my home but instead will drive over one hour to shop with Lilly. When they expanded their fragrance department, she notified me of the sale and freebies being given away. I drove up and got in line to be one of the first one hundred customers to get coupons. I had an American Express card with Dillardās but they recently changed to Wells Fargo, which I now carry. I was able to use my 10% shopping pass and then if you spent $100 you got $25 back to use on purchases that day. Iām a guy who loves to smell good for the ladies, hence I donāt mind spending upwards of $500 on a bottle of Creed, Tom Ford, Parfums de Marly. On that day I spent over $2000 and left smelling like a million dollars. Iāve taken friends up to Richmond to let them meet Lilly and get treated like a VIP. Lilly keeps me informed about upcoming sales events and I try to make them whenever possible. Attached is a small piece of what I have purchased from Lilly and going to keep adding to my collection. Iāve ordered fragrances as gifts and Lilly gifts wrap them and the presentation is what matters. Whenever thereās a new fragrance that she thinks I might like, sheāll let me know and send a sample. Iāll receive it and then call her with my order. She is definitely as asset to Dillardās. Just ordered some more colognes as a gift and had it wrapped and mailed. As always, her delivery and...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreThey are racist!!!! I walked in and selected several dresses to try on. While walking to the fitting room I hear a "code" called out over the intercom. Next thing I know some sales lady is banging on my dressing room door aggressively asking if I need help. None of the dresses fit me well so I came out the fitting room with all the dresses and engaged her in conversation. During the conversation, another sales lady approaches and literally yells out Do I need help? Trust me she wasn't asking me that, she was asking the other sales lady. I told her No, I don't need any help. While talking to the first sales lady there was a White customer looking through the racks and selecting clothes to try on near us. She was never acknowledged or asked did she need help or a dressing room. After I laid the dresses down on the counter that didn't fit me, the saleslady walked away back to whatever part of the store she came from. Wow, black customers get stalked, have white salespeople bang loudly on their dressing room doors and get asked twice if they need help while the white customers are left alone!!!! That was just the most recent visit. About a year ago I had the same thing happen and I came out the dressing room to see a Henrico County cop standing at the register. I guess black customers are not allowed to go into dressing rooms on their own. Dillards has a racist history that is well documented. The owners are racist. The salesman are racist so there's no need to spend money in a store that treats black customers this way. Shame on you Dillards for...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreI was shopping in the cosmetics and skincare section recently and my experience was ruined by one employee. I was just minding my own business and browsing, I didnāt come there set in buying anything so I was just window shopping and enjoying the day. Shortly after I entered the area, an employee (Mary) approached me and asked if I needed help to which I responded āNo thank you.ā She continued to stand there and stare at me, immediately giving me an uncomfortable feeling. I eventually walked away, a little weirded out but just chalking it up to her either being a new hire or just socially awkward. As I continued to browse, I noticed that she was trailing me. I donāt mean subtly either, but she was following me in a way that made it very obvious. When I turned around to face her, she just continued to stare me down with this dour look on her face. Something was very off about her, and she very much gave the impression that she fully expected me to try and steal something. After about 20 Minutes of her following me around the section and continuing to glare at me, I decided to just leave. I only know this individual āa name because I asked another cosmetics employee (who couldnāt have been nicer) if this was a regular occurrence. She let me know that they have had numerous customers complain about this employee (Mary), so itās a very standard thing. If you want to have a nice experience while youāre shopping and not be treated like a criminal, I would suggest taking your...
