While shopping today 10/17/25, I was browsing while constantly hearing a woman yelling at a child from the back. I could tell it was a lady, a man, and a mentally disabled teenage child and the woman was aggressively yelling at the child and calling him all sorts of degrading names. When I finally had enough I decided to finally speak up and say something. Not only did I have that lady yelling in my face as well, but the other volunteers came up and told me to leave while enabling and covering up her abuse. I took a video of the woman’s behavior. Her name is Sandra and she said that she is incredibly frustrated watching this disabled kid 2 days a week who “always interrupts and never listens to her”… she should NOT be watching that child and he should be with loving caretakers and not around her or the other multiple women who were also there and witnessed this abuse without saying anything. I wasn’t the only customer who was obviously uncomfortable witnessing this. As a frequent shopper and supporter, I will NEVER step foot in there again until new volunteers come through. I am STiLL SHAKING at witnessing such disgusting and vile abuse on a mentally disabled child. SHAME...
