Mountain-Dream Creamery — Restaurant in Arizona

So we had never been to the Mountain Creamery so we decided tonight to go after dinner. Anything but a "dream creamery". More like a nightmare. Walked in and the first thing we see are several children attempting to help customers. Literally they were 10 or 12 years old. A couple of them were dirty grubby little boys. We thought what the heck, this is weird, why are there kids serving the ice cream? Then we realize when an older lady walks out from the back it must be a family owned business. Total chaos as the kids attempt to fill the orders to the people in front of us. We should have just left then. Then the woman who I assume is the owner comes to help us. Not friendly at all, rude, short. She acted like we were putting her out buying her ice cream. $13 for a two pathetic ice creams. Are these people nuts? We won't be going back. This place won't be open much longer with how unfriendly, expensive, and unprofessional it is run. Just a suggestion....people don't want grubby little boys...

My husband and I stopped in while visiting Pinetop and I was so happy when I saw they had Superman ice cream! I'm from Michigan and haven't seen it in Arizona since I moved here in 1999! The owner and her kids working there are all really nice and extremely helpful. I ended up buying 5 quarts and 1 pint (her whole supply!) to take home on dry ice to share with my own kids and have some stocked up for myself! She only had 2 quarts to start and ordered an additional supply to get me some more before we headed home. She even texted and followed up to let me know it would be there for us on our way out. Usually when I order just ONE quart from an ice cream shop, they don't seem thrilled to have to scoop a load of ice cream at once. They did not mind at all and I didn't have to feel guilty about my order being overwhelming. Pricey, poor service, ice cream is okay and NOT deliciously good as other reviews proclaim to be. Will NOT return. Went there for the first time, thankfully we only waited about 5mins to order. Though, I specifically told the lady (possibly the owner) we were first timers..she made no effort to welcome us to the creamery nor explained to us how the ice cream is sold. Turns out you can choose as many flavors as you'd like, she mixes it and adds 1 topping of choice. (Any additions will just add up your bill). Ice cream is sold by the cup (mini, small, med, etc) which by the way..(taste doesn't justify the cost). Much rather eat Thrifty ice cream!! The lady must not be happy with her business/job because she did not smile once to any customers, she was complaining to another customer about the increase cost of nuts & even went as far as giving a price per oz!!
