I am super disappointed in the experience I had on sat 10/30. I have been using chemistry for about 2 years now and Iāve never had a problem until now . I am not the type to complain but I think this warrants it . I went in for a full balayage and my hair was a medium/ light brown . I wanted to go to a pretty full blonde but I know it is possible because Iāve done it before (at chemistry!) the photo I showed the stylist was actually of my own hair so she could see what was attainable . She did warn me we may not get as light as the photo but we could get pretty close . That was fine with me . Fast forward through the lightening process my hair didnāt lift as bright as she wanted but it was still fully blonde (I have a photo), and wouldāve been super close to my photo if she wouldāve put a different toner on my hair . I am not sure if she is new and was just trying to be super conservative but once she put toner on my hair I was completely brown with a hint of blonde highlight . To be honest I walked out looking just how I did when I walked in except I feel like I bleached my whole head for no reason. She did say I could come back in 3 weeks to lighten again⦠which is fine but to drop almost $200 twice for something I know from past experience I couldāve gotten to or dang close to in one appointment is really disheartening. The stylist was very sweet and I think she was trying her best but I donāt think she was comfortable enough with the process and it showed . I wish she wouldāve been upfront and said she was not confident in which toner to pick and asked one of the more experienced stylists before just taking me back to a...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreI used to recommend Chemistry Hair Salon to people and I will NOT anymore. Their services on hair were good and not the issue, but the customer service was sneaky today. I had been going there for 2 years and today they called me and said I missed an appointment that I never made. I only cut my hair approximately every 6 months or more. I schedule my hair to be cut when I think it's needs it, as the history of my appointments reflect. I NEVER make a follow up appointment because I do not know when I will need my hair cut, let alone make an appointment 3 months apart for a CUT.
Today they tried to say I missed an appointment, less than 3 months after my last appointment. They charged me $108 for the service as a no show. I called them to discuss a dispute and they told me I could speak to a manager at 3PM. I called them between 3-3:45PM, being sent to voicemail each time. My dad gave me the idea to call under a private number and you BET they answered right away. They were deflecting my calls. I told them I will NOT be paying for a service for a no show appointment when I did not consent to booking it. Period. (And I told her to have a good day).
I understand that a stylist might be out of an hour worth of money due to this error, but it was not MY error and my $108 is also valuable. The deflection of calls when we decided on a time to chat was also extremely unprofessional and shows guilt. Do not recommend Chemistry Hair Salon anymore. Leaving an extra star for the ability though. The stylist are talented and were nice on my previous...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreI went in about a month ago to go from a warm dark brown with lighter tips to an all over cool dark brown, almost black. What I got was a dark base (that washed out two weeks later) and a toner on my ends (which I had expressed I wasnāt a fan of because it washes out practically the next day). My biggest concern was getting the warmth/red out of my hair, but going here actually made it worse. While they were drying my hair, I could see immediately that it looked like a dark auburn instead of a cool brown. I told my hairdresser, and she gave me the option of waiting a day to see if I liked it in normal lighting or putting another toner on so I waited because my hair already felt horribly damaged from this process. The next day she called me back and asked how it was, which I agreed that It didnāt look as terrible as it did in the salon lighting. While I was trying to tell her that I was still unhappy because it was not what I wanted, she cut me off and said āGreat Iām glad youāre happy with your hair! If thereās anything else I can do, let me know!ā And at that point I just didnāt care because I was so irritated with the entire situation. It took two weeks before my hair went back to exactly how it looked before I went in, except itās much more damaged now. I paid just as much for this botched ash-brown as I had for a full balayage in a much higher-end salon, which...
