Not a great experience, but not necessarily awful either. My wife and I arrived about 10:45 on a Saturday morning for breakfast and the place was packed, but we only had to wait about 10 minutes to sit down. We both ordered some biscuits and gravy and some hash browns, then the wait began.
After 30 minutes of seeing only 3 orders delivered to tables, but probably a dozen or so to-go orders pushed out of the kitchen, and seeing at least 5 other tables without food that we knew ordered before us, we had to tell our waitress that we would need to have our food to-go because we wouldn’t have time to eat there knowing it would still be quite a while before we got our food. I’d also seen one angry gentleman complain to a waitress about the wait and leave without his food.
Fifteen minutes later, our waitress jumped us ahead in line (those other tables mentioned before still did not have their food while another couple to-go orders went out) and prepped our to-go plates herself in the kitchen. She did make it right and did not charge us for our food so I tipped what would’ve been probably 40% on the bill because of that. When we ate the food…it was not worth that wait. It wasn’t bad necessarily, just OK. The biscuits were good, but the gravy was somewhat bland and runny.
By the way, the wait time isn’t exaggerated, they write the time they take the order on the ticket. That was 10:59 and we left at 11:47. If the waitress hadn’t jumped us ahead, here’s a good chance it wouldn’t been another 20 minutes or more for us to get our food. The owner really should know to shut off online ordering when the place is that slammed. It’s not fair to customers dining-in or the waitresses as it takes money out of their pockets. And those waitress clearly are awesome as they are friendly as can be while they’re running all over the place. We may try it again, because the pictures of some of the other food look amazing, but it’ll have to be spur-of-the-moment when the parking...
Read moreOn Tuesday, Feb. 2 We went to this place. It was 8:00pm. Usually it is so crowded one cannot find a seat. This night was different...very few, probably no more than 10 people were seated and eating. Just as soon as we entered the restaurant a waitress handed me a menu and said this is the only vegetables left. it was about 4 the rest were marked out with a purple marker. Two waitress were sweeping up the food on the floor the whole time we were trying to eat. NEVER once, did she approach us to see if we needed refill of drinks, or ask if everything is ok. Needless to say she got no tip. She did not full-fill her job as a waitress so that was why no tip. Do your job and you would have gotten a tip. We ended up ordering a hamburger with Shoestring potatoes, the guest ordered double bacon cheeseburger with shoestring potatoes. My order came and there were home style fries on it. I told the waitress girl this order is wrong. She did not offer to correct it but said, "I will not charge you the FF because they were wrong". When we paid the bill we were charged the SSFF. I told the cashier this was not what I was told by the waitress.. Cashier asked me what did I want done?? well...after hesitation, I told her I wanted a refund on the SSFF. She acted like she did not know what to do OR how to give a refund. She did finally give me a 2.76 refund. Before we could even leave the parking lot, from our car--looking through the windows we saw the cashier hurrying to talk with the waitress. At that point, we made a decision to Never return to...
Read moreMy family arrived at 1:55pm. We were seated immediately and our drinks were ordered. By 2:03pm we had our drinks and asked for an additional minute to look at the menu. Our server left our table and didn't return. After 15 min, we flagged her to us and asked to order. She apologized for forgetting to return, and took our order. We ordered of off the daily special menu with hopes of a quick return of our food. At 2:48 we inquired about the time it was taking for us to receive the daily specials that are sitting in a pot ready to be scooped out. The waitress said she did not know what the hold up was and walked away. At 2:55pm we inquired again as our 4yr old continued to proclaim her tummy hurt because she was hungry. The waitress still had no time frame as to when our food would be arriving. By 3pm, we decided to leave. We asked to be charged for the drinks, but a supervising employee said don't worry about it. I called later to speak to the manager about the prolonged wait for our food and she just made excuses for the kitchen. It appears as though they focused on to go orders and not the people sitting in their restaurant. This was unfortunate because my husband really wanted...
