For the past 3 years, a group of 8 guys have done a golf trip to this area. Each year, we play The Raven, the Keystone River course and Breckenridge. Next year we will not play the River Course and opt to play either Vail or Copper Mountain. The reason? The customer service (staff in the pro shop). I have never experienced such a poor level of customer service and rude attitude of employees at a golf course - and I travel worldwide and have many experiences to compare. The “I don’t care about you - just give us your money attitude is rampant with all pro shop staff (3) we encountered. For the price of this course (highest compared to other 2) it’s not worth putting up with this type service when you have multiple other courses within close proximity. The staff needs to remember they would not get to work in such a beautiful place without the people who support this course. My recommendation to anyone looking to play in this area is to opt for the other courses that appreciate your business and $$$. It was total consensus of our group to not return, not just the feeling of myself or a couple others. We all live in Colorado and have played this course outside this group of guys with others as well. Not anymore!! Our money is going where its appreciated. FYI: the other 2 courses had exceptional service, very accommodating and cared about your experience! They appreciated you were there and that you chose them...
Read moreThe River course is beautiful. HOWEVER, the staff was an absolute nightmare and previous reviews mentioning the staff issues were 100% correct. We drove 11 hours to play Vail Golf Club and this course. The Vail staff was beyond friendly and accomodating to all of us. The Keystone staff from the moment we checked in were extremely rude and difficult to deal with. They split our groupings up after they had been set and actually made 1 guy in our group catch up with the 1st tee time (20 minutes ahead) and SKIP the first hole..after he just paid $150 to play all 18. They continued to hold the 2nd group at the cart area and with only 2 minutes until our tee time...I had to ask if we could go to the tee box and get ready which was a big issue apparently as I recieved a rude response from the cart crew. After the round...they tried to blame cart damage on one of our groups but unfortunately for them, we had pictures from the first hole w/ the cart in question already damaged. For a bucket list golf trip...it was about as disappointing as one could imagine. Sad to see places like this treat visitiors/non-Colorado residents so poorly as the course and views...
Read moreOur family golfs all over the US, 2 couples, us and our parents. When we arrived to this course, Lynne who worked in the pro shop was horrifically rude and told us and our dear parents we couldn’t have 2 carts, with 2 riders, even though that’s what we reserved, willing to pay any fees, that they only allowed 2 carts per 4 players. Well what if all 4 players didn’t know each other?? What about covid safety? Instead she proceeded to tell us the spouses, me and my mother in law could rent the maintenance cart…instead of enjoying a beautiful day with family and our parents like we do every other course in the US including the Ranch in Keystone. For $150/round to be treated like utter trash…when our parents specifically came to CO to visit us to have father-son golf was disgusting. So me and my mother-in-law left and let the guys golf and missed an entire day with our dear family. ADDITIONALLY…our family states many groups had FOUR golf carts & our 2 with 2 riders couldn’t have 2 carts?! Horrible! I’m furious, we run a business and would NEVER treat our customers this way. Thanks for ruining...
