The staff at Swan Mountain Resort were very accommodating. The place was very clean, it had a fully stocked kitchen and a wood burning fireplace (wood provided). The resort also offers covered parking spots, which is a nice touch.
My family enjoyed their clubhouse, which includes an indoor pool, two hot tubs (1 indoors and 1 outdoors), a foosball table, an air hockey table, a place to sit and watch tv, an outdoor patio, fitness room, a computer and printer.
Lake Dillon is a short drive away, as is the main parts of Dillon and Silverthorne, these towns offer a number of eating options.
I feel I should warn anyone who is a smoker though. My parents smoke and they came on this trip with us. Colorado past the Clean Air Act in 2006, so you can not smoke on the balcony. But, what I really felt bad about was the fact that their smoking section was a sliver of a rocky/grassy area between two parking structures, no seats, nothing. However, if you do not smoke this would obviously not be a problem.
Another problem for some may be the fact that most of the villas/condos require you to walk up at least one flight of stairs, there is no ground floor. My mom has a bad knee and this posed a little bit of a problem. There are a couple wheelchair accessible rooms, but that's it.
The major drawback for me was the fact that there is no air conditioning. They provide you with a box fan and you can request more, but you mostly have to rely on it being cool enough. However, even with the window open, I was a little...
Read moreAs owners at Swan Mountain we have enjoyed an annual getaway to our condo since 1997. My husband and I are so excited to see how well this complex has been cared for over many years. The condos are always impeccably clean, bed linens are great, kitchen supplies and appliances in top notch condition, all aspects of the units are updated frequently (carpet, furniture, appliances, hot tub, etc.). The grounds are always well kept with flower pots during spring and summer months and snow removal throughout the winter time. Location is a “top 10” with easy access to trails, bicycle paths, mountains to view and climb and Lake Dillon right around the corner for water recreational activities. Restaurants surround this resort location from American fare, Mexican, Japanese, Italian and just about every other food specialty you want to try. Happy Hour treats are abundant at many restaurants with really good prices for both food and drinks.Delicious too. 🌟💥🌟 Best of all Swan Mountain offers very kind and friendly support services with their excellent management and professional staff from helping one with how to operate the TVs in each unit (which offer multiple streaming option plus local and national channels) to giving you suggestions on great things to do in the surrounding areas. Swan Mountain has earned its reputation as a 5 star resort year after year. There’s a reason for this. It’s all here to let you explore and thoroughly enjoy your visit to Summit County in Colorado....
Read moreOur stay at Swan Mountain Resort far exceeded all expectations. The top-floor 2 bedroom unit featured expansive views of the Rocky Mountains, a wood burning fireplace, and the best stocked kitchen we've had at any timeshare. The staff were universally friendly and helpful, going out of their way to call us on our first and final nights to see if there was anything they could provide. Other nice touches included coffee, popcorn, hot chocolate, and fresh flowers upon arrival. Although this is an older resort, everything on property is incredibly well-maintained and you can tell that management invests in annual upgrades/updates. As this was a ski trip, we especially appreciated having access to an indoor heated pool and piping hot outdoor spa to soak in after long days on the slopes. Speaking of which, the location of SMR simply cannot be beat: world-class skiing at Breckenridge, Keystone, A-Basin, Loveland, and Copper Mountain are all within a short 15 to 20 minute drive. If you’re willing to drive 45 minutes or so each way, Vail and Beaver Creek are also within reach. Other highlights for us included having a trailhead 100 feet away from the resort for morning nature walks/hikes, being able to check out board games from the resort office, and having an assigned covered parking space with a ski locker so we didn’t need to lug our gear inside each day. We can’t...
