Cala Pub and Restaurant — Restaurant in Four Corners States

I gave this place an honest shot, but it let me down.

It being July 4th, I called ahead to make sure they were open. A lady answered and I asked for the hours. She said 10 o'clock. I said "thank you very much", she just hung up. Ok, perhaps a little rude, but it wouldn't prevent me from visiting.

I drove there with my wife and two young kids. When we came in the door, we weren't sure if this was the kind of place where you wait to be seated or seat yourself. A few awkward moments passed by, the bartenders at the nearby bar noticed us but didn't say anything. Neither did servers. So we sat ourselves and found that we could see the menu via QR code.

The people there all seemed to be locals. Perhaps we didn't get good service because we were obviously tourists?

While looking at the menu, a rather loud, vulgar, possibly drunken verbal altercation started happening at the bar. We decided that this wasn't the place for us, at least not at this time. So we left.

I understand that all this just could have been a coincidental string of unfortunate events, but I just can't recommend it at this time. You might have...

🍻🍔 Just swung by Cala pub with my pals for some grub. The wait staff? Totally A+ in the friendly and helpful department. Pro tip: hit up the bar for orders, but don't worry, they'll bring the goodies to you. 🍹☝️ The patio? Oh man, a slice of paradise on any day! Drinks? Sip-worthy and refreshingly good.

Now, onto the grub. 🍽️ The food was all in line with the Irish pub vibes – tasty, but here's the scoop: Yours truly, a simplicity fan, wasn't completely sold on the spice game with the fish and chips. I mean, let's keep it chill, right? 😄 Oh, and a little heads-up for early birds: You'll need to wait 'til after 3 PM for the full menu. Sad face emoji 🥺, 'cause I missed out on my beloved Shepards Pie – my Irish pub go-to! Next time, Shepards, next time.

All in all, Cala pub's got that charm, and I'd totally go back for round two. Cheers to patio hangs, friendly vibes, and foodie...

Honestly this place has an awesome atmosphere, good to great service every time I come in, but the one thing is the FOOD!

This is an Irish pub - you would think they would have proper fish & chips, but nope.

They also use big popcorn shrimp for their shrimp tacos.. every other ingredient seemed fresh and delish but the shrimp were sub par, pre frozen & looked like what you would make for a kid.

Don’t try the buffalo chicken sandwich, it’s also not properly made and I feel like this fish is one that is easily properly made.

Their chicken pot pie was great but the serving size is very small.

They charged me $10 for tater tots… THEY’RE CHEAP POTATOES.

It’s also way too expensive but that’s everywhere you go in CO, unfortunately.
