I the very much doing business at Food Lion is closed by they have good products but probably some of the most unfriendliest people you will ever meet as far as your service in that store every other grocery store I go in they're 100% friendly they smile and they see you they are help you in any way you need them to at Food Lion me and my father talked about it all the time they don't have anything for their customers they are always talking to each other never will you see them offering to help or smile when you go buy them it's a different store than most you just have to see the people that it's working there and I guess everybody's got their own opinions of things you can see what's happening you have to come to be on one side of the other and I just disagree with that I think you should be friendly regardless of what your thoughts in life is especially in public you should always be friendly other than that it's a wonderful store but it sure needs help with its customer service and employees even the manager will not smile at you when you walk in there which I hadn't seen hello young lady that used to be there in a while if you want an award one time but like I say you just have to be the right group of people do you get along with some people they know when they look at you where you stand on things that's all I can say about that but Food Lion as a whole is...
   Read moreI normally love this grocery store but.. a lady works there who is a bit rude. She is a little older with short darker hair. Not the little lady with the great energy she is great. She works the self check out sometims Everytime I go to self check out she runs over basically like I'm stealing I'm not. The big bag of dog food it too heavy so I scan it in the cart. I've never ever felt like that in this store ever. But this one lady is just out to get customers. I'm in there like 4 times a week. She makes me very uncomfortable. I have general anxiety disorder anyways so I stick with the same store Everytime. And you guys have flowers outside today I wanted to buy some. I have before in the past and they just scan them for me. Well I asked her today how I could scan them at self checkout. She just said I would have to bring them in to scan. Which is fine. But she didn't offer any other assistance. There are no carts outside so it was kinda impossible to bring all the flowers in that o wanted so I just didn't buy them. But it's only 1 person who ruins the bunch. I'll be back but I avoid this lady like the plague. I don't know why she is in customer service of she is so ride to her customers.    Read moreI had a very disappointing experience with the pickup service at the Food Lion on Georgia Road. I placed a pickup order around lunchtime and selected a pickup window between 6:00 p.m. and 7:00 p.m. When I arrived shortly after 6:00 p.m., I was told that my items hadnât even been shopped for. Due to staff not meeting the time frame I selected.
To make matters worse, no one took the initiative to resolve the issue. Instead of shopping for the order or offering a solution, they simply told me my pickup time had been moved to the next day â after I had already arrived during the scheduled time.
Staff blamed it on a âsystem errorâ and took no responsibility. There was no apology, no attempt to correct the mistake, and no effort to assist me in the moment. After driving 15 minutes out of my way, I was told to just come back tomorrow.
This lack of accountability and basic customer service is unacceptable. If Food Lion wants customers to rely on their online ordering system, they need to make sure it functions properly â and more importantly, that their staff is trained to take initiative when it fails.
