Do not recommend at all. Purchased 2 brand new recliners here and one was damaged by the staff prior to delivery. They pulled off the information tag instead of cutting it so now there is fabric coming out of the arm of chair. I reached out and they said they’d take care of it. Well their idea of taking care of it is just replacing the arm of the chair. I didn’t buy a brand new chair just to need the arm replaced immediately because of their mistake. I’ve tried to reason with their customer service department but get no where except ignored and being told they are waiting on parts. Extremely dissatisfied, will never spend another dollar with this company and you bet I’ll be telling everyone I know personally and via social media to take their money somewhere else. What makes it worse is the customer service guy tried to blame me and tell me that I had to have done it when I removed the tag. But this is from the display tag that they remove themselves it’s not the manufacturer tag. See example picture I included from when we were shopping. He even contradicted himself by saying the tag on the arm is removed by staff before delivery so if that’s the case how could I be blamed for it? Overall just very frustrating, plenty of other places that aren’t bait and switch and have great customer service even after they take your money. If I had known this I would have taken advantage of the 7 day return policy and taken my money elsewhere.
In reply to the business’s comments below - you literally have someone a damaged item and yes you are replacing it but no one would WILLINGLY purchase a damaged item (at full price). You have failed to acknowledge and take ownership of YOUR mistake and passing the blame and financial consequences to the customer. It doesn’t matter how easy it is to fix, is the principle of the matter that you shouldn’t need to repair an item that YOU damaged. Also in terms of the customer, is my grandmother who is 82 years old. She’s not going to get herself worked up and upset over it because I told her I would handle it. But I can guarantee you she is NOT satisfied and is very unhappy with having to have a brand new recliner repaired. You can call her back and ask her for her honest feedback and she will tell you exactly what she thinks. She even mentioned someone had called her about it but she didn’t know who she was speaking with in terms of it just being someone coordinating delivery/pickup and not having any actual authority. So without you actually telling her who you were and asking about the problem how would she know to even tell you that she was upset? You guys are truly a joke. Wrong is wrong and all of you have tried to sweep it under the rug as...
Read moreLet me start by saying I will not hesitate to recommend a great business and even quicker to call out a horrible business. In short, I don't hold back. Jernigan Furniture in Smithfield provided the best furniture shopping experience I've ever had. We shopped all over Raleigh and couldn't find what we wanted. After visiting a few other places, we ended up in Smithfield at Jernigan. As we pulled into the parking lot of a small, run-down shopping plaza and saw the small storefront, I almost turned around. It looked far less than promising. However, that's where everything changed. We were greeted immediately (which is not uncommon for most furniture stores). What stood out was the friendliness which felt genuine (not fake or forced). Matt and Dawn were both extremely helpful in answering our questions (and trust me, I can be a real pain in the @$$). We were surprised by the great selection in an otherwise small store. After visiting upwards of 9 or 10 other stores, we found nothing we liked until we got to Jernigan. We went from zero options to 4 great options immediately. Dawn explained the pros and cons of each product we were considering. After a considerable amount of deliberation, we finally made a decision. While we were waiting for Dawn to get it all written up (a process they need to work on expediting a little) we browsed the rest of the store. We ended up finding another piece we loved and added that to our list. The quality and selection at this store is fantastic and will be our first stop for any/all furniture needs in the future. If you're in the triangle area, I suggest skipping Glenwood Ave. Spend 45 minutes driving the country roads to Smithfield and experience a level of customer service that is very hard to...
Read moreI had the most pleasant experience at Jernigan Furniture this AM April 5, 2022. Allan met me near the entrance and asked how he could help me. I was looking for a new Pinnacle LaZ Boy Recliner. He led me right to the LaZ Boys and was very patient as I tried out a dozen or more recliners. I decided on the first one I sat in. I had bought a Pinnacle LaZ Boy Recliner back in 2008 and had used it all these years. Finally, something messed up in the back and we were unable to fix it. I particularly wanted a recliner that will allow me to use the manual handle to release the leg and foot extension without having to use my legs or rotate my arm on the gear handle. LaZ Boy does this with just one touch on the right hand handle. This really helps when you have arthritis. It was a must for me to have another as I use my recliner in my bedroom as an early morning prayer chair around 3:00AM most mornings. I count this as an investment in Eternity! They gave me an extra 10% off the sale price and loaded it in the back of my SUV Nissan Sport. It was my good pleasure to also meet Matt and Adam. I wish you the "BEST" in future sales! Blessings! :-) From...
