My husband and I went to visit this location in Smyrna, TN. I had previously been in contact with an employee about a particular piece we were looking for. When we arrived in the store we received no greeting nor did ANYONE ask if we needed any help. After a few minutes my husband was able to see in the back area and asked if we could get someone to assist us. COMPLETELY annoyed a guy did come up to ask if he could help us. I explained that I had been in contact with someone and what I was looking for and he IMMEDIATELY told me "they were out". I told him I literally just recieved a response and confirmed that you had it in stock. At this point a lady came from the back and asked was I the one who she had been in contact with. In a very confused state she even said out of her mouth to her coworker that she confirmed they had it and again the salesman stated that someone had it wrong and they did not, almost as if her were trying to coach her on what to say. Now, the original ad that I responded to had 6 different types so how he knew they had none they sold EVERY single one in the 30 minutes it took us to drive there blows my mind ( he never once asked me which particular one and there were tons in boxes in the store). Bottom line I'm sure both my husband and I did not "look" like this locations typical customers however last I checked ALL money is green . To the people that live in the Smyrna, TN area, DO NOT SPEND A DIME of your money, as it seems, being brown and shopping at this store seems to be an issue. And note to staff we had planned to purchase more that just the one piece as we were in the market for all new furniture. Next time, please try not to judge a book by it cover and contrary to poplar belief ALL black/brown people are not bad. Hopefully this information helps the next potential customers. Read moreWas super excited to buy from a local company in our town. That excitement ended very soon after receiving a broken couch two weeks after ordering it. To add to that the broken couch proceeded to stay at my house for another seven weeks while I called Thornehill furniture every week to check on the status of my new couch. I never once received a call from them. They did not care, and when I called them, they felt like I was bothering them was the tone that I received from every call I made. The new couch should’ve been there faster than any new order that I would’ve placed on the website because I did not deliver the couch broken they did. I was gaslit saying that it wasn’t their fault. It was the shipping department only to find out that they never even place the order thanks to one of the workers Chris, who actually exposed Billy who never actually placed the order until three weeks after my broken couch was delivered. Then I was promised at a way for them to fix the issue for me having to wait that long with something free from the website I didn’t offer to take something free from the website, they offered that to me only to call them a month later after said, free item has never arrived to say well. We can do 50% off as if I would want to give them anymore of my hard earned dollars after they already wasted my time on this couch from the first place worst experience I’ve ever had buying furniture I buy furniture a lot, and I will never be purchasing from them again, and I will not tell any of my family members or friends to go to this local place. I found their store through Facebook Marketplace which made me a little hesitant because the item I wanted was significantly cheaper than competitors. I called the store and spoke with Chris directly about the item I wanted and made my purchase by phone.
There was a slight delay in my order because only some of the pieces were in stock. I was made aware of the delay before placing my order. Communication through the entire process was outstanding, Chris kept me up to date on everything. I received my order in two separate deliveries and in the end my final items arrived sooner than anticipated and were exactly what I wanted and expected!
I also cannot speak highly enough of the delivery crew. Each delivery was made by different employees. Both times the delivery crew was in communication with me and let me know when they were close to my area. The crews were very respectful and professional!!
