Extremely disappointed in this Ethan Allen. We spent over 11K for a large sectional sofa. Within one year, the fabric pilled and seemed overly worn in certain areas of the couch. My salesperson was lovely, and tried to help me. She was equally disgusted by the lack of durability of the fabric. She advocated for me to no avail. The owners wouldn't do anything. I am stuck with a huge piece of furniture that was extremely over priced for the quality and looks worn. I learned the fabric had been discontinued and imagine the poor quality was a part of that decision. I have shopped at other Ethan Allen's in NJ and NY and never had such an issue. I would never set foot in that store again - I think different owners handle things differently. They do not back their products. I would have been better off buying something at Bob's and replacing it every year. Again, the salesperson/designer was lovely.
Update in response to reply: In response to your reply, do your records indicate that pieces were were delivered in December of 2019 and then in January of 2020. You were closed for covid for months. I called a bunch of times though obviously understood the circumstances. One year was your fabric warranty. And because it was finally brought to your attention March of 2021 you washed your hands of any responsibility - for an 11k sectional. You offered zero options - zero ways to help. I am not sure why you are assuming they werent professionally cleaned or cared for properly. Perhaps this could have been brought up at the time, but nothing was. I was told simply that the warranty is 12 months and 14 months is too late so bascially my loss. As for your rigorous testing, we didnt "abraise" the fabric - we sat on it. At least you discontinued using that fabric, can't imagine why. Lesson learned.
I've shopped in many furniture stores and never had to deal with such quality issues, and at a much lesser price point.

Andrea Pinto of Ethan Allen Somerville branch NJ, walked into my house as a stranger and after several consultations, has become my friend, and older sister! She was very professional, honest, sincere, and passionate about her job. She was also very patient with me. Initially, I was quite clueless to what goes with what for my home. For over a decade, I was busy taking care of my kids and their school activities and never bothered about the ambience of my home that much. This is about a week and a half later.....my husband and I couldn't agree on some of the pieces, so we went to 6 other furniture stores to look around.
Kate sent me a message and asked for us to stop by to pick out the fabrics. So I kindly let her know that we looked elsewhere and we have decided to go with another vendor. I told her that we really appreciated her talent and kindness, and that we would like to stop by her workplace and give her a gift just to show our appreciation. It was a monetary gift but she didn't know that.
She was not pleased because she told me that she doesn't get paid unless she sells something. And that she spent a lot of time on us and worked until late at night. We were very disappointed how this ended.
A person's behavior doesn't reflect on the quality of the furniture, but it can stop us from considering going to this...
