East Race Market — Local services in South Bend

Below average at best. More in line with an after market type store. No real meat market or produce section. Meat comes frozen, so nothing fresh. The couple times I have been there the produce selection is very sparse. Can you make a meal, sure but you can make a meal with a can of soup and crackers. Need some salt or pepper, sure they can fill the need. Want to make a nice meal for friends, not going to suffice. Can be at Martins in 10 minutes and find much better selection and quality of meat and produce.
