This was my very first time at Winn Dixie. I'm a Publix girl at heart but I was going right past and needed a few liquids. Green tea, check. Flavored water, check. Strawberry juice, nope. I looked up and down every aisle and couldn't find it. Now, it is obsure. But Walmart carries both 100% strawberry juice and 100% blueberry juice. I really would have taken either. And if Wallie World carries it, I figured it might be at Winn Dixie, which seemed nicer.
So I went up to an employee and asked if they had strawberry juice. She didn't know and asked if I had checked the juice aisle. Yup, I said. She said she was new and she didn't know again.
Totally understandable. I was going to let it go but she said to check with customer service. Great.
I walked to customer service and asked. That employee also didn't know. Okay, sure. Obsure product. I get it. Who would randomly know off the top of their head, right?
But then the customer service employee turned back to what she was doing. I didn't want be a Karen, and ask if she could LOOK IT UP.
You'd think Winn Dixie would have a search bar for their inventory. They probably invested tens or even hundreds of thousands in their computer programs. My public library in the 1990s had a search bar.
Anyway, I walked away and just went to another store, which did have my obsure strawberry juice. Bummer as gas is so high and so I'm docking a star.
The store is clean and, on a Saturday afternoon, barely any...
Read moreI've pretty much given up Winn D. I love their cookies & some of their products but they need to learn customer service. There's one checker who used to be pretty nice but it's short handed early in the morning & she is running the self checkouts. No matter how many groceries you have she is reluctant to ring them up and says I'll teach you. I mean you've got veggies to weigh, jugs of milk, pizza's & comes to at least 50 dollars & fills three of those bags I take. I say too much for me to check. So she checks me but makes nasty side comments. She says, You don't have that much & then slams them into 2 bags which are heavy & says you have too many bags & on & on. She also says to other workers, She won't check herself and says she has too many items for it. I'M DONE. And, probably will report her though she may get fired. I am thinking of at least reporting it as if they respect their customers. They ought to have enough employees to serve them at checkout. I do know how to self check out but there isn't room when you have a lot of groceries. I am not against self check for lesser amounts. I do it at Target. But no fruits & veggies there. I think they also have more room at the self checkout & their employees are really nice & helpful. I had already started going to Aldi where I save at least $20 over shopping anywhere else. And, I also go to Publix & Target. I get some good BOGO's at Publix though some of their prices are high. The employees are always...
Read moreJust purchased a package of boneless ribeye steaks marked sell by 5/14/2024. Today is the 11th....opened them as soon as I got home and they smelled a bit off. THEN I flipped them over! Blue-green meat!! It is ridiculous to have to go to the grocery store buy me that is well within the sell-by date and yet having to throw it away immediately because it's already rotten in the package! Things are way too expensive these days to be throwing away money on meat that should be good. This is not the first time I keep giving this a chance because financially it makes sense but putting my good hard-earned money in the trash does not make sense. Aren't they supposed to be the beef people? Pretty sad that this is what happens when you spend money on beef at Winn-Dixie. I feel so bad for all the people who are struggling to make ends meet and put food on the table that maybe actually consuming this because they have no other options or no money left. This is disgraceful! This has happened now at the Cortez Road location and the 14th Street location and yes I've...
