I went to value pawn to pawn a few things that were very precious to me, so I could pay my rent. When I pawned them they said they would call me to let me know if there was a danger of me losing them. I was told that I could extend my loan on line. After a few months of making my payments that way. I go to extend it again. It wasn't on there to do it. I called and he told me that because they were short staffed I didn't get the phone call. My jewelry payments didn't make a difference. They put my jewelry up for sale and apparently they sold immediately. This pawn shop are thieves. They knew that what I gave them was top notch and I wouldn't doubt it if they kept the peices for themselves. I hope it wasn't them who bought them, because if it was I wish them NO luck for taking them from me. AS I SAID THESE PEOPLE ARE CROOKS, I NEVER REC'D THE PHONE CALL THAT I WAS PROMISED. PLEASE IF YOUR JEWELRY IS ANYTHING THAT IS GOOD QUALITY DONT BRING THEM THERE. GO SOMEWHERE ELSE, BECAUSE IF YOU DO YOU WILL NEVER GET THE PEICES BACK BECAUSE THEY ARE THIEVES. BY THE WAY THE RATINGS THAT ARE AT THE TOP ARE FROM YEARS AGO. READ ALL OF THEM. NO ANSWER THAT THEY RESPOND TO THIS RATING WILL FORGIVE WHAT THEY DID TO ME. I saw a very lovely ring in the silver case and I said I wanted to buy it. I asked Janet if it was real silver because I'm highly allergic to fake and there was a mark I didn't recognize in the band. Janet took the ring and after inspecting it comes back and said it was no longer $6.99. Apparently, it was mis-labeled add silver and was 14k white gold. The price then went up to $169.99, with the best price she could give being $160. I had already said I wanted to buy it BEFORE Janet looked at the ring. She was nothing but RUDE considering I just inadvertently saved them from making a mistake. I was offered nothing as a consolation, not even 10%off another item. This is poor business. I have purchased a phone, about 12 different pieces of jewelry, 3 air conditions, a TV, a vacuum, and multiple other small items over the last couple of years. After today's treatment, my business is going strictly to Money Man Pawn at 1608 53rd Avenue East Bradenton Florida. They have great prices and I've NEVER been treated by anyone there as I was treated by Janet at Value Pawn and Jewelry. When Joe Kis was the manager there this was a good store. Natasha is now the manager and it sucks. I bought a boat, trailer and motor, $600. I was charged tax for the first thing. That is paid at DMV. Second I was told I didn't need a registration for the trailer and I know I did. Third the title to the boat was never retitled in the pawnshops name so I had to take all the paperwork back up to them twice. The second time I had all the paperwork to fix the problem and Natasha refused to even look at it. She told me to bring the boat back. I refused and her this is your problem, FIX IT. I finally after waiting for 10 minutes got the district managers card who happened to be Joe Kis. He answered on the first ring and even stopped by my home to pick up the title paperwork. He called me two hours later and told me he would stop by my home again and drop off the fixed paperwork. JOE KIS IS AWESOME. I have spent alot of $$ there and also pawned stuff after hurricane Irma. Joe was always great. Natasha need to work on her customer service and learn how to do her job and at the least learn the Florida Laws...
