As far as the store itself goes it's a standard Harbor Freight.
Unfortunately, the employees will lie to you about product ETAs/lead times and whether or not the product is in stock at other locations nearby, just so they get the sale to themselves I suppose.
Harbor Freight's website indicated that this location had a 56" Gray Series 3 Roll Cab in stock. I visited this location and found out that it was not in stock. I asked if it was in stock at other locations nearby and again, it wasn't in stock (according to the employee helping me at least).
I asked what the lead time would be and was told ("with how things have been going, it'll probably be about a week"). At that point what the hell right? It's not in stock anywhere else according to them.
Turns out, the ETA for my box is 4/18/25, approximately 8 weeks instead of the 1 week I was initially told before placing the in-store order.. Awesome stuff.
Finally, I just happened to drop by the Woodbridge, NJ location a few days later, and for fun asked "do you have any 56" roll cabs in stock, in ANY color?" They had 2 in stock, IN GRAY
Unfortunately Harbor Freight's policy locks me into the specific order I made at this Monmouth Junction location and I can't simply buy the box from the Woodbridge location.
So yeah, it's probably just the one or two individuals at this location that were working at the time, who flat out lied to me so they could take my toolbox sale from another store that actually had it in stock...maybe they'll come back and say that their information wasn't up to date when they checked, but if they knew that was usually the case, why wouldn't they at least call the other locations to confirm? (unless they wanted that sale from me).
Obviously this store is fine if you can find what you are looking for, but if you are making a big purchase such as a tool box or piece of machinery, I'd make that order at the Ewing or East Brunswick locations.....
Hopefully Harbor Freight corporate or whoever manages these branches looks into the employee's sales practices at this location but from how this ordeal has been going so far, it's probably wishful thinking.
I wish I could say corporate was making it right too but, here I am, writing this review. They aren't being flexible at all with "no changes or cancellations till it arrives in store." which I don't understand considering the fact that I'd be buying the exact same product at a different...
Read moreOne of my best experiences not only in a Harbor Freight but any tool store I’ve been to in the past 12 years. Mikki and Mel were the absolute best. Not only were they extremely friendly and precise on the phone, but even when I went into the store were extremely kind and easy to talk to. Mikki was very thorough and helpful and was very lovely to talk to and Mel made us smile and laugh at the register. This harbor freight is a little out of the way to the closest ones to me but this’ll be the one i go to from now on! Thank you so...

Even though i know those lizards and hamsters were just left in the dumpster in the back on a 95 degree day, happy to see a closer harbor freight. Bought some supplies to polish metal and they threw in a free pair of gloves with my order. Im not some soft handed union boy who needs gloves but good to...
