I'm leaving this review at the request of La-Z-Boy of Monmouth Junction, NJ. It's premature to provide a star rating, as I have only just ordered the furniture (sofa, love seat, ottoman, and recliner) and will not receive it for several weeks (they say 6 to 10). So, I went with a middle rating of 3 stars. Let's start with the positives: Kathleen Zorrilla was extremely knowledgeable, patient and helpful with my order. Also, this store is independently-owned and has mostly lower prices for the same items than the Company-owned store nearby in Langhorne, PA (you can view both on their website by changing your preferred store). Another plus is that their delivery service will take the old furniture to the curb (for free) or haul it away (for an additional fee), which most other furniture stores will not do. And I found that the furniture in the store was very comfortable and appears to my non-expert eye to be better made than that offered by a similarly priced competitor like Raymour and Flanigan or a lower priced competitor like Ashley. On the downside, I found that La-Z-Boy's advertising and signage regarding a 30% off Labor Day sale appears to be misleading or false, as many pieces are so-called "hot buys" which apparently have the same "everyday low price" and are not discounted further. They claim that these are already discounted from the full price, but if they are the same price every day, the full price seems to be a phony number. Read moreThe delivery guys rushed to get out as we were the last stop. They only tested 3 sided but not to fully recline and bolted out. When we went to try the one side of the couch they didn’t test it broke and we can’t get it to go down. Truck left “customer service” said since we were the last stop they turn their phones off. Called the store spoke to our sales rep who said she would put in a ticket to have technical support call and nothing her manage could do either. Tech support called back said someone would get back to me in 2-3 business days THE COUCH IS STUCK IN THE RECLINE POSITION!!!! Then after I get a call it’ll be a few more days for someone to come out so this is left in the open position until then. They better work around my work schedule as I’m not taking another day off. I had to wait FOUR MONTHS for delivery and paid 10k for something to break in literally 5 minutes. To say we are irate is an understatement. There is no concern or help. They tried to blame us for accepting delivery and not sitting in every recliner when their delivery guys were rushing to get out of here and they didn’t speak English either. One star is way too generous and I will never recommend this furniture to anyone. For the price it shouldn’t break on the FIRST USE!!! Read moreThis review is for the customer service area NOT the store. We received the sectional we ordered and it does not fit together correctly,. Someone from customer service came out and said that it is a manufacturing defect and wrote a report for La-Z-Boy. It's been 2 weeks and have heard nothing. Tried to call customer service number the other day and after waiting on hold for 52 minutes a recording came on and said that it will hold our position and que and call us back. It confirmed the number to call and that was the last we heard. Today I called customer service again and waited almost an hour on hold and finally someone answered. The response we received to our open ticket was unacceptable,. When I asked her if there is another number that we could call so as not to be on hold so long she responded this customer service area takes care of the whole nation and we are very short handed. When I responded to her that this is not customer service to make your customer wait almost an hour she could care less.
