Giant Dollar — Local services in South Gate

I live near and this is my go to store. I loved to go here and walk around buy what I need (and not need), but lately I have been checking my receipt (I mean really checking) and notice they always overcharged me. One time I went back and asked the cashier “ why you charged me 2.99 when the price on the item says 1.99” she replied ohh I already blind, so she wanted to give me $2.00 back, I said you charged me tax didn’t you? So she kind of got upset and gave me .20 cents more. I decided not to go back(not as before), but I did give them a second chance, and again they had something $1.19 each or 2 for 1,89, something like that so I payed for 2 and again she charged me for the individual price. So if you go to this place check they ALWAYS OVERCHARGE, I can’t say I’ll never go there anymore but now I’ll be more careful, because If I am a penny short they won’t give...

As soon as I walked in I can already feel the stares. The Chinese lady I don’t know if she’s the owner, before I walked up she was yelling at the employees in a very rude manner. As I payed for my items she wanted to say she didn’t charge me right but then checked the receipt and realized it was her mistake I guess she felt embarrassed and whispered Mexican monkey under her breath. I could have commented something but that is beneath me. She threw one of my items to the floor and tried to pretend she dropped them accidentally. Not everything is a dollar, most of the merchandise is not worth buying with the ridiculous price tags most items are missing things broken or opened. Staff and security are rude and watch you like a hawk as if you're going to steal something. Sometimes they do have some good stuff but it's really really rare. Food don't bother, most of it is old and about to expire your better off buying in a regular grocery store. they have cheap electronics in a display case like people are going to steal it, trust me I've seen it and nothing that is there is worth it . I only go for the seasonal decorations and merchandise...
