I had a 3" round gold plate laser engraved. 10 words total. They were trying to charge me $35 a line. When I explained to the owner that was not the agreed amount discussed over the phone and that his prices were to expensive, he was "Churlish" and "Surly" with his reply, "IF YOU ARE NOT HAPPY, I CAN TAKE THE PLATE OFF YOUR ITEM AND YOU CAN LEAVE"! I had no choice since this was a last minute birthday gift for my wife. Finally we settled on $80 ($8 a word). Things remembered charges $10 for the first word and $3 a word after + $7 for the plate.
