Definitely not the best place if you are an independent adult with responssbilities and a full-time job. Since it is an acelerated program, they will drown you with homework and a bunch of studying which is ok if you are a 17 year old person who still live with their parents but not if you work full-time and have kids. Also the schedule is not very friendly for the working people. I went to Lincoln Tech a few years ago for the Computer and Networking System Support Associate program, and though I had to drop out, my experience wasn't horrible... there are some great teachers like Mr. Reasinger who loves his job and actually cares about the students. But there are some others that don't do so much and end up doing a pretty bad job at trying to get their students to actually learn. I also felt like a lot of the stuff that we had to pay attention to during class, was not included in the different test, leading me to get a low score. I had to rely a lot on YouTube videos of people who would explain things better, and even like that, the tests were very different from what I have been studying. I feel that the teachers are not the ones creating these tests, but rather it's the institution who takes care of that. And I feel that creates a huge difference between what the teacher is discussing in class vs what's actually coming in the test. Also, a lot of the information used in their C&NSS prpgram can be found online for free and some other is just outdated. So, you would be paying for the certification rather than the knowledge you can get. In fact, a guy from my class was already N+ certified and knew most of the program; he was just there for the tittle... problem is, most professors used that guy (the one with N+ certification) to measure the knowledge of the entire group and started to tech accordingly. Of course, that made everything more difficult for...
Read moreSecond time attending this school and in 10 years it has COMPLETLY changed. Not saying not to attend this school because the curriculum is well put together BUT they make HUGE issues out of tedious things. Students aren't heard and just spoken to as if they don't matter. Life is stressful as is with the work that needs to be kept up. There's a sense of being authority happy in this place. It's do as you're told and you better follow because WE SAID SO!!! If you are paying to be in a place some compromising needs to be made with mutual understanding and respect. Extremely frustrated at this point and having regrets spending my money here at this point. It's very understandable that there are rules and regulations set in place but it is very much so believed that there is room for leniency. If the same concerns from many students are being expressed I suggest you people start listening. Do not call me in to discuss this issue because it's already been made clear. Make a change for students coming in the future. Signed FRUSTRATED...
Read moreMy daughter went to apply for a student loan there. What a joke they are scammers all the way, like car salesmen shaddy. They lied and had her keep coming back... She straight up front told them that she wanted a student loan and they were like no problem... Your mom has to come and sign off , so they had me come in to what I thought was to sign off so she could get the loan. Here they don't even give student loans to anyone under 24 and that either the parent would loan the money or be paid up front.. So why not say that from the get go? I will make it known to all how I feel on this school!!! No to mention when we left that day we were told that maybe she could get a scholarship oh yeah we will get you in haha they only give them to graduates and you didn't know that either.. How do you be an employee and don't know any of this????? I will be sending a letter to the head about how horrible she was treated and lied to... Thank you for the total...
