I have ordered curbside from this specific Red Robin no less than 10 times before and have NEVER had such awful service! I ordered a curbside pick-up on 1/25/2025 and showed up 5 minutes after my order pick-up time, it was not busy inside or outside the restaurant, considering there weren't many cars in the parking lot or customers in the building at the time I arrived. I waited 15 minutes for a staff member to acknowledge my arrival in the curbside parking spots, which are placed directly in front of a glass door and wall of windows where the pick-up desk is able to see with no difficulty. After waiting I called to let them know I had arrived and they asked if I was coming in? When I said I ordered curbside the gentleman on the phone even confirmed the make and color of my car and said he would "let her know" and have her check on the order to bring it out, I don't know who "she" is. In the time I parked my vehicle to the time I received my order I witnessed staff going from the pick-up area to the kitchen no less than 5 times, and not a single staff member walked out of the kitchen with take out bags. I did however see them talking with friends sitting at the pick-up area and playing with balloons? When I finally went inside, 10 minutes after I had called and 25 minutes after I had arrived, my order was sitting unattended at the pick-up counter. This means that my order had sat ready for pick-up the entire duration of my wait, with staff members in and out of the kitchen and pick-up area, and with a staff member acknowledging my presence. The only help I received once I was inside and grabbing my order was from a young man asking if I was okay, and he didn't even confirm with me that the order sitting there was mine. I have never had so many issues with the staff here regarding pick-ups, they are generally very timely and professional, if not overly nice. I can understand if the restaurant was crowded and the staff was overly busy, however the place was practically deserted at this time, and based off of the balloons I witnessed I would say the staff had plenty of...
Read moreFour of us were there to celebrate a birthday, by my choice. As we were walking through the door, several people were walking out, and angry. A woman said, "Don't eat here. They rip you off." That was the introduction to a bad experience. We were guided to our table, close to the bar. Our table was very sticky, as though it had been wiped off with an already sticky, used, and unclean rag. Our waitress was also the bartender, who appeared disgruntled about something. She was rude, and obnoxiously loud. She took our order, as though she was doing us a favor. My husband ordered a beer, which was bad. When he told her about it, and asked for another one, she got an attitude. She was purposely slamming things around, behind the bar, right after that. From the time we sat down, the horrible and unwelcoming energy ruined our time there. Later, we heard her say, to the people at the next table, that she was "calmed down now." My son, graciously, still gave her a generous tip, which she clearly did not deserve. My choice to go there to celebrate a birthday, was a very disappointing one, and, most likely, won't happen again. On a good note, the burger that I was looking forward to, for so long, was delicious, as usual, and well done, as ordered. The fries were fresh, and hot. The young girl who delivered it, was exceptionally nice, and very courteous. We understand. That these are difficult times, with staff shortages. People are stressed and overworked, but that doesn't justify treating patrons disrespectfully. Having been in business ourselves, we know that it only takes one bad experience to poison the idea of ever returning to any type of establishment again. Without your patrons, you would be out of business. Sorry, Red Robin, but we all left there with a very bad taste in...
Read moreI order from this chain fairly frequently (my office typically spends $50-70 per order, 1x a week)and was willing to overlook smaller errors since the food always came out extremely well.
Every time I order here, I never have the food brought to my car, I always have to go in (where I have to search for an employee). Additionally, the fries are never crispy and our sauce is forgotten the majority of the time.
Now, back to today's incident.
However, I took the first bite into my "Pig Out Double" and was greeted with a incredibly long, female, brown hair that got stuck in the middle of my throat. Obviously, I was very upset as I was starving and had to pull a hair out of the depths of my throat. As you can imagine, the rest of my coworkers examined their food and had to eat their food with extreme caution. To resolve this, a simple full refund would've sufficed and we would've kept on ordering once a week. Unfortunately, Chris (the manager) decided it would be better to rush me off the phone (it was very evident that there was anything else he would've been doing) and refunded me half my order. Now, I am left with nothing to eat, my coworkers are biting into their food nervously, half my order being nonrefundable, and being enraged the rest of my work day.
Personally, I couldn't think of a better way to end my week then consuming someone else's DNA and ending a phone call abruptly to prevent an argument over a cheeseburger.
I was willing to give Red Robin the benefit of the doubt, but due to the interaction I had with Chris, I will no longer be spending my money here.
I wish everyone else the best of luck, check your food, and maybe save some money by eating at home (at least if there's hair, it would be yours) or...
