Took a bit to find the place. It's just off Route 85S, not directly off route 9 as implied by Google Directions. Plenty of parking at destination. Just 2 people working this past weekend when I went in, and there was a line, but they were very efficient, and things moved quickly. Pleasant clean waiting area, and if you have to wait there are several decent places to either eat a meal, or just get a snack and coffee. They took a look at my 2 year old DC50 Animal which I have been having problems with (bad odor despite cleaning filters, and loss of suction). Adrain pointed out that the cleaner head was not properly put together resulting in loss of suction, and that the brush head was worn down. He replaced the brush, and reset the casing. The odor was traced to dog grease and dander up in the turbine portion (top) of the vacuum. He offered to replace it with a new gold colored part, mine is purple and I opted for instructions for cleaning the part at home. Followed instructions when I got home, odor problem solved. He also gave me a helpful hint regarding suction when using tools. The plastic wand that the tools attach to narrow the point of suction flow and result in reduced suction for this model (it's a compact version). To maximize suction when using tools I will now use the hose extension directly attached to the tool whenever possible. No pressure to trade in and upgrade as I experienced when the Shark I had malfunctioned after just 2 weeks. I also got info on a couple of attachments I may purchase now that I have mostly wood flooring...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreDyson is a company that alienates their customers not only by price gouging for ALL of their products but also by their little service scheme thatās going on here at this location. For instance, they have a flat iron (hair product) āon saleā for $539. (Yea, thatās right) youāll have no extra money to go get your head examined.
Adrian (who I canāt decide if heās a scoundrel or not) told me that his his boss tells him not to accept older vacuums to service and tells him to instead pressure people (probably by holding your machine hostage, and then youāre so frustrated) to just buy a new machine and shoots you the price with a straight face. If he says heās going to call you back, heās not going to. Just be proactive. The 1-2 week estimate for the repair turned into over a month. My older DC-14 needed a new hose and a general tune up. After 2 weeks I get a text saying my hair dryer is being evaluated with a different work order number in the text.
Then, this hopped up dude tells me he canāt find the main filter and tried the upsell. I found hundreds of them on Amazon and after many phone calls managed to get him to do the clutch and roller and whatever. Didnāt think to check to see if the broken hose top was replaced⦠it wasnāt. Found one on amazon for $30. And the filter for $9.
Donāt go here unless itās a warranty issue or less of course you like being taken advantage of.
Dyson is a shitty company.
The only real reason to drive up there is...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreThese gentlemen know their stuff when it comes to a Dyson product. It is a very popular place especially on the weekend. They will diagnose your machine on the spot. It may be a wait in order to get a diagnosis on a weekend and it is a first come first serve set up. But once diagnosed they let you know how long the repairs are and give you an option of picking it up that day or coming back to pick it up on another day if they donāt have parts available. They go above and beyond to fix not only what is wrong with your machine but anything else they find while examining it. Now full disclosure mine at this time of writing this review was under warranty - however how many would go above just what you bring your machine in for. I believe they are invested enough in the products that they want you to be satisfied and happy with your Dyson product and donāt want to have you experience having to bring it back in to fix a problem that they see exists and could affect the machine in the near future. Overall experience was great. I hope I get a lot more years out of my Dyson which will go out of warranty next month. I would definitely recommend this Dyson service center to anyone with a Dyson product or even if you are looking at the Dyson product line - they have them all there and the small showroom is clean and bright and as I mentioned they are extremely...
